About me
Hi, I’m Jo.
I’m a qualified hypnotherapist and psychotherapist offering 1:1 therapy for people who are ready to feel different… not just understand their patterns, but truly shift them.
Most of the clients who come to me are capable, thoughtful and self-aware. They’ve read the books. They’ve tried to think positively. They know what they should be doing.
And yet… they still feel stuck.
Stuck in anxiety that flares up out of nowhere.
Stuck in habits they promised themselves they’d stop.
Stuck in overthinking, procrastination, people-pleasing, burnout or low mood.
Stuck in cycles that feel frustratingly familiar.
This is because many of the patterns we struggle with don’t live in the conscious, logical mind.
They live deeper - in the unconscious.
Hypnotherapy works with the part of your mind responsible for emotional responses, automatic behaviours, beliefs about yourself, and your nervous system’s sense of safety. Instead of forcing change with willpower, we work at a calm, regulated level where your mind can update old patterns safely and sustainably.
When the nervous system feels safe, change happens more naturally.
With my background in yoga, meditation and nervous system regulation, sessions are not clinical or rushed. They are steady, grounded and deeply supportive - this is collaborative work.
In our sessions, you’ll learn to:
• Understand why your mind responds the way it does
• Regulate anxiety and overwhelm
• Break self-sabotaging cycles
• Reduce cravings and unwanted habits
• Build self-trust and emotional resilience
• Feel more in control of your reactions
• Reconnect with a calmer, steadier version of yourself
Hypnotherapy is not about losing control. It’s about gaining it, gently.
Many clients describe leaving sessions feeling lighter, clearer and more at ease in their own mind. Over time, they notice they respond differently. They feel less reactive. Decisions feel easier. Old triggers lose their charge.
If you’re tired of fighting yourself and ready to understand your mind at a deeper level, this work could be for you.
I offer 1:1 sessions in a quiet, nurturing therapy space in Bournemouth, as well as online.
You’re welcome to get in touch with any questions or to arrange an initial session. Sometimes the first step is simply deciding you don’t want to stay stuck anymore.

Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level. All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

info Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Additional information
20 minute discovery call - complimentary
Single session - £80 per session
Block of 4 sessions - £256
In my experience, meaningful and lasting change often begins to consolidate over a series of sessions rather than just one. While every person is different, many clients find that around four sessions allows enough time to understand the root of a pattern, regulate the nervous system, and begin embedding new responses at a deeper level.
For this reason, I offer a block of four sessions at a 25% reduced rate of £256. This provides continuity, commitment and the space for real integration rather than quick fixes.
You are, of course, welcome to book single sessions, but if you know you’re ready to properly engage in the process, the four-session block offers both value and momentum.
