About me

Hypnotherapy in Central London

I provide Hypnotherapy for adults, children and young people. I practice from comfortable and confidential rooms in Angel, Clapham and Belgravia.

I see clients for a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship and intimacy issues, to name a few.  I see clients who are experiencing issues with their relationships, as well as people looking to make a career change and are feeling stuck.

I am passionate about being a therapist and enjoy meeting a variety of clients with a wide range of issues. I gain great satisfaction from enabling clients to find their solution.  My background was in the NHS where I became increasingly interested in procedural anxiety in patients and ways that can help the mind.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy

Cognitive hypnotherapy is an effective short term therapy usually lasting between 3-6 sessions, the number of sessions and results vary on the individual.  Each session lasts one hour and the first session is mostly history taking and we would then make a plan as to where to aim your therapy going forward. The great thing about Cognitive Hypnotherapy is that it’s tailor made to you and the way you ‘do your problem’, so it’s totally adaptable, we go at a pace you are comfortable with. Being in trance is very relaxing and not at all about the therapist having ‘control’ over the client, it’s how we utilise your unconscious mind. Your unconscious does a good job of protecting you from what it perceives to be a threat, but has a habit of holding us back from achieving our full potential. It’s simply a way we can access your dysfunctional thinking and memory around your problem and alter it to a more positive state of mind.

How I can Help

Whether you’re at a crossroads in your career, just out of a break-up or simply feeling a bit stuck, Cognitive Hypnotherapy can help you get your mojo back...I provide a personalised audio recording for you to listen to between sessions to help consolidate the work we have done in session to Help promote transformative and lasting change.  I offer longer term weekly therapy with a competitive monthly payment plan, please enquire for more information.  This option can be suitable for those clients that present with a catalogue of issues which they would prefer to work through more slowly.

I work online via Zoom and have found this to be effective in delivering hypnotherapy, I tested this to the max during the pandemic.

Next Steps

E mail me for a free 15 minute phone consultation, we can discuss what your goals are for therapy and whether we could be right to work together, It is your chance to ask me questions about working together.

Testimonials

A massive THANK YOU to Jess who helped me get my confidence for sleeping back, after 10 years of suffering with insomnia. I found Jess when I was at a really low point and in my life and felt like I had forgotten how to sleep. It didn’t take many sessions for me to feel like my life was improving, and through hypnotherapy Jess empowered me to dig deep into the ‘why’ and help me understand myself better.  She even made me a personalised recording to listen to between sessions to help reinforce the right thoughts. I felt so comfortable during the sessions, and I never thought I would even say this but I actually enjoyed them. For the first time I feel confident in my ability to sleep and I am so grateful. I came to Jess when I was at my lowest after trying to conceive for 16 months. I felt there was something deep rooted holding my mind & body back. Through open discussion and trance, Jess guided me through overcoming spiralling anxieties and helped me heal from past experiences.

After 3 sessions with Jess over 4 weeks, I was absolutely overjoyed to find that I had fallen pregnant! Jess's sessions brought me to a new level of calm & relaxation which undoubtedly unlocked something at my core. I hope to continue to see Jess for pre-natal hypnotherapy and support for this next chapter. I just can’t thank her enough for everything she has done for me. BF

Further information

Each session is 60 minutes long. I offer online Zoom sessions, I send an online therapy guide prior to our session to help you. i can also do sessions on FaceTime or WhatsApp video call.

The first session is largely history taking, assessment and answering any questions you may have.  The second session we begin the work which may include time line regression, rewind or parts work. other disciplines that session may include is Gestalt chair,  Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Eriksonian theory and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).  I use whatever I deem most appropriate for you and your situation.

Trance is simply a relaxed state, you will not do anything you don't want to, you will spend most of the session in varying depths of trance, and some work is eyes closed imagery work.

Many clients begin to notice changes after the second session, these changes can begin to add up to make some big positive changes in how you view yourself, situation and hope for the future. I see most clients for an average of 4 sessions, some return to me some time later following major life events or when they come to a crossroad of life decisions. By request I see clients for double sessions if they are pressed for time.

All clients receive a personalised audio recording to listen to before sleep, this consolidates the work we do within our sessions. This is usually after the second or third session so I use the feedback of change/improvements that you report. It is very much a two-way process and you get out of therapy what you put it.

I also recommend books/podcasts that I may think relevant to your issue. There are occasionally exercises to do at home that provide further insight into what shapes your thinking and core beliefs.

Testimonials

'I had a serious case of roadblock when I went to see Jess, I just couldn't get my head in the right place and my confidence demons had really kicked in. The future looked like a scary, blurry mess. Jess calmly walked me through the thoughts in my head and helped me understand that what had been building up over the years didn't need to get in my way anymore. I can't thank her enough for what she has done - I now have the confidence to see what my next 'me' is going to be.'  JH 52

‘I came to Jess with my daughter’s anxiety, low mood and stress problem, she couldn’t deal with. I did not have any previous experience with hypnotherapy and did not know which hypnotherapist to go to… I was very fortunate to choose Jess, as from the beginning it was clear she’s a very well qualified professional with a very friendly attitude. I was confident my daughter will receive help she needs. Jess explained us clearly everything about sessions and what to expect. I noticed first results after the second session and I saw an improvement coming with every next one. I have no hesitation in saying that a lot of positive changes I noticed have came as a direct result of the sessions. I can highly recommend Jess to anyone with similar problems.’  AP
