Hello, I’m Jess, I provide Cognitive Hypnotherapy to adults, couples, and children/young people. I practice from comfortable and confidential private rooms in Central London in Both Angel and Holborn. My background was in the NHS where I worked for many years in operating theatres, I began to become increasingly interested in the mind as well as the physical body. I see clients for a range of issues including anxiety, stress and burnout. My special interest is clients who have experienced trauma and have ptsd. I also see a reasonable amount of clients for medical procedure anxiety-dental phobia and needle phobia for example, and my background lends well to this. I am passionate about being a therapist and enjoy meeting a variety of clients with a wide range of issues. I gain great satisfaction from enabling clients to find their solution.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy

Cognitive hypnotherapy is an effective short term therapy usually lasting between 3-6 sessions, no of sessions and results vary on the individual. Your first session will be up to 90 minutes in order to give you time to talk through your problem and where you would like to be. We would then make a plan as to where to aim your therapy going forward. The great thing about Cognitive Hypnotherapy is that it’s tailor made to you and the way you ‘do your problem’, so it’s totally adaptable, we go at a pace you are comfortable with. Being in trance is very relaxing and not at all about the therapist having ‘control’ over the client, it’s how we utilise your unconscious mind. Your unconscious does a good job of protecting you from what it remembers to be a threat, but has a habit of holding us back from achieving our full potential. It’s simply a way we can access your dysfunctional thinking and memory around your problem and alter it to a more positive state.
