Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist

About me

Hi, I’m Jen. As a Solution-Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, I help people handle anxiety, stress, low moods, and sleep problems to feel more in control and balanced. My approach is gentle, modern, and effective. My clinic is in the quiet, semi-rural area of Aughton, Ormskirk, offering a calm, private space for healing.
A Positive, Future-Focused Approach
In our sessions, we’ll focus on finding solutions and staying positive. Instead of reviewing past problems, we’ll work on building good habits, boosting your confidence, and reducing stress and anxiety. I’ll help you change negative patterns to healthier ones so you can rebuild your self-esteem and emotional strength.
Enabling You to Take Control
My approach is to find solutions that fit you. Instead of feeling stuck, we’ll focus on practical steps that bring real change, helping you move forward with a clear understanding and confidence.
Space for Transformation
My clinic is in the quiet area of Aughton, Ormskirk. It’s a safe, welcoming and private place where you can relax. Together, we’ll make the changes you want.
Specialising in Women’s Health
With experience in midwifery and sexual health, I understand the unique challenges women face. I offer support with:
✔️ Fertility struggles
✔️ Pregnancy & postnatal well-being
✔️ Birth trauma recovery
✔️ PMS, PMDD, & hormonal imbalances
✔️ PMOS (formerly known as PCOS), endometriosis, perimenopause, and menopause
✔️ Sexual Dysfunction (Low libido, Vaginismus, etc)
Managing Anxiety & Stress-Related Disorders
Anxiety can make both physical and mental health problems worse, but hypnotherapy can help you take back control.
If you’re dealing with health anxiety, general stress, or phobias, I use gentle methods to support the changes you want. These techniques can help lower fear, build strength, and help you feel like yourself again.
At our first meeting, we’ll create a clear, personalised plan to give you the most effective treatment.
Feel confident and in control. Let’s start your journey to your well-being today.

Training, qualifications & experience

My background is in the NHS; I worked as a qualified midwife for 12 years, including 4 years as a contraceptive and sexual health nurse.

I trained in Hypnobirthing after the birth of my children, then trained with CPHT, the Gold Standard in Hypnotherapy. I qualified as a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, obtaining my Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH), Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (Level 4), Medical Diploma in Hypnotherapy, and (Level 5) Solution-Focused Supervision for Hypnotherapists Qualification.

Each year, I update myself on the latest CPDs in hypnotherapy, including work with children and young people, OCD, and neuroscience. I also follow research on mental health, women's health, menopause, and ethical practice.

I am fully insured, First Aid-trained, Extended DBS-checked, and registered with the Association for Solution-Focused Hypnotherapists (AfSFH), the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC), and the NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy).
I also deliver CPD courses for CPHT Hypnotherapy Training on:
