At George Lewis Hypnotherapy, we use a Solution Focused (SF) approach.
The first step is to identify what you want to achieve. We focus on that, and the solution, rather than the causes. It's all about the present and the future, and not the past.
Hypnosis, and the state of trance, is a very safe procedure, which can help you reduce stress and anxiety. This is done very simply through relaxation techniques, which allow you to focus on the positive aspects of your life. This helps to encourage the shift in your perspective which is central to the process.
Research shows that the SF model can help people make significant and positive changes relatively quickly.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, having trained, and obtained a diploma (DSFH), with the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training. I also have a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) from the National Council for Hypnotherapy, and am CNHC-registered. I am fully insured, and have PVG clearance to allow me to work with adults and children.
As of 27th April, I can now offer face-to-face sessions in a safe and hygienic environment.
I also offer online support. Experience tells me that these are as effective as face-to-face sessions, and in many situations more so.
Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Our first consultation is free.
Subsequent consultations, on the basis of sessions of 50-55 minutes, cost £60. We would expect to see positive results within a few weeks; a typical course of treatment, on issues such as depression and anxiety, normally lasts for 8-12 sessions. These sessions are, initially, weekly; once we see progress, we can move on to fortnightly sessions.
Treatment on phobias normally lasts 4 weeks.
Smoking cessation work, which is based on a double-session, costs £150.
I am flexible, and will try my best to fit in with your schedule. For the foreseeable future, I am only offering online sessions.
Hypnotherapy can also help with the good things in your life. If you want to improve or enhance your own particular skills, SFH can help. Those things that you're already good at, but which you want to do better - like sports performance, business capabilities, general life skills - these can all be improved through appropriate SFH techniques.
