About me

Hi 👋 If you’re reading this, something in your life may feel stuck right now.

Perhaps your mind is caught in cycles of anxiety or overthinking. Perhaps overwhelm, low confidence, or fear are limiting what you feel able to do. Or maybe you’re simply tired of battling with a brain that seems to be working against you.

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. And things can change.

I’m Frances, a Brighton-based hypnotherapist specialising in anxiety, ADHD, OCD and phobias. I help people understand the patterns driving their thoughts, feelings and reactions, and gently retrain the mind so those patterns begin to loosen their grip.

My approach combines psychotherapy, neuroscience and hypnotherapy to create practical, lasting change. Helping you feel calmer, clearer and more confident in everyday life.

Many of the clients I see are thoughtful, capable people whose brains are constantly scanning, analysing, questioning or anticipating. From the outside, they may look like they’re coping well. But inside, it can be exhausting.

You might recognise some of these experiences:

  • Overthinking things long after everyone else has moved on
  • Feeling stuck in loops of “what if?” or self-doubt
  • Struggling to switch off
  • Avoiding certain situations because the anxiety feels overwhelming
  • Knowing (logically) that something isn’t dangerous… but your body reacting as if it is

Clients often come to me for support with:

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, and chronic overthinking
  • ADHD-related challenges and emotional intensity
  • OCD and intrusive thoughts
  • Overwhelming fears and phobias
  • Low confidence or persistent self-doubt

Therapy with me is collaborative, down-to-earth, and paced in a way that feels safe for your nervous system. I work in-person from Brighton & Hove. I also love working online with clients all over the world.

If you’re curious about whether this approach might help, I offer a free one-hour consultation where we can talk about what’s been going on for you and what you’d like to change ✨
