Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Beyond my primary focus areas, I support clients with a wide variety of challenges, aiming to provide practical, compassionate, and lasting solutions. Whether you’re facing physical discomfort, emotional turmoil, or behavioural hurdles, I’m here to help guide you toward a calmer, more balanced life. Here are some of the additional areas I specialise in:

IBS Management
I am an IBS4IBS Approved Practitioner, using evidence-based hypnotherapy techniques to help manage and alleviate the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). With hypnotherapy, you can regain control over your gut health, reducing discomfort and re-establishing confidence in your daily routine.

Menopause Support
As a Certified Hypno Menopause Practitioner®, I provide therapy to alleviate the physical and emotional challenges of menopause. From sleep disturbances to mood changes, my sessions offer relief, allowing you to feel at ease and empowered during this natural transition.

Grief and Bereavement
Grieving the loss of a loved one can feel overwhelming. I hold a Professional Diploma in Hypnotherapy for Grief and provide compassionate support to help you process loss, foster healing, and find your way back to balance.

Pet Bereavement
Our pets are family, and their loss can be deeply distressing. Certified in Pet Bereavement Counselling, I help you honour their memory while easing the pain of loss, creating a safe space to reflect and heal.

Phobias and Fears
Whether it's a fear of flying, needles, or other phobias, I use solution-focused hypnotherapy to help you confront and overcome your fears, building courage and resilience along the way.

Pain Management
Hypnotherapy can be a powerful tool to change the way you perceive and respond to pain. Together, we can develop techniques to help you better manage chronic pain, promoting emotional well-being alongside physical relief.

Confidence and Self-Esteem
Do you feel held back by self-doubt? I help boost your confidence and self-worth, empowering you to approach life with a renewed sense of optimism and belief in yourself.

Tinnitus Relief
As a Certified Tinnitus Advisor, I use hypnotherapy to help reduce the perception of tinnitus, teaching techniques to alleviate stress and improve your overall quality of life.

Stress and Emotional Well-Being
Combatting the negative effects of stress is essential to a vibrant life. Through personalised hypnotherapy sessions, I help you create coping strategies and shift toward a more balanced, peaceful mindset.

Addiction Management
Whether you’re struggling with smoking, alcohol, or other addictive behaviours, hypnotherapy can gently reframe your relationship with these habits, supporting you toward a healthier lifestyle.

Weight Loss and Virtual Gastric Band
I am a Certified Practitioner for both the Virtual Gastric Band and HypnoBand® programmes. These innovative approaches work on your subconscious to change your relationship with food, making weight loss achievable without fad dieting.

Sleep Issues and Insomnia
Restorative sleep is vital for overall well-being. My sessions are tailored to uncover and address the underlying causes of sleep problems, guiding you to experience deep, uninterrupted rest.

Support for OCD
If obsessive-compulsive behaviours are impacting your life, hypnotherapy can help reduce anxiety and manage compulsions. Together, we’ll work to regain control and promote a calmer state of mind.

My approach is always compassionate and tailored to your unique needs. Whether your challenges are mental, emotional, or physical, my goal is to empower you to live your best life with confidence and clarity. If any of these areas resonate, don’t hesitate to reach out. FAQS

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of focused concentration combined with therapeutic instructions. In everyday life, we enter this state without even realizing it—whenever our attention is captured, and instructions are given, we undergo a form of hypnotism, often without awareness.

For instance, have you ever lost track of time on social media or made an unplanned purchase due to an advertisement? It’s a common experience. This state, akin to becoming absorbed in a book or losing awareness while driving, is what we’ll harness in hypnotherapy.

Through this focused state, we’ll work to help you replace previous negative programming with positive alternatives, addressing issues like anxiety, fear, insomnia, and much more.

What Happens in a Hypnotherapy Session?

In a hypnotherapy session, you’ll typically find yourself seated comfortably in a chair or lying on a couch with your eyes closed. I will guide you into a state of profound relaxation and heightened focus, akin to a tranquil trance. While in this state, your subconscious mind becomes more receptive to change.

I’ll offer a series of suggestions and new ideas designed to transform the way you perceive your issue. You may be asked to speak, but only to describe or acknowledge experiences in the moment or a simple instruction like lifting your finger — your other thoughts remain private.

Throughout the session, you’ll remain completely in control and aware of your surroundings, experiencing deep relaxation and a sense of calm. Some clients find this state to be a highly enjoyable and peaceful experience.

Is it Safe?

Rest assured, hypnotherapy is completely safe, and there’s no risk of getting stuck in a trance. You maintain full control at all times. You’re always in control throughout the session.

Many clients notice positive changes even after just one session, with unhelpful thought patterns fading away. While the initial shifts may be subtle, over a short period, clients often experience heightened calmness and a stronger sense of empowerment.

How Do I Prepare For My Sessions?

Come with an open mind, believing in the effectiveness of hypnotherapy and a genuine desire to make positive changes. It’s beneficial to schedule sessions for times when you can fully engage with the hypnotherapy process.

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session to avoid cancellation fees. Your commitment and respect for appointment times ensure the best outcome for your therapy.

Feeling tired is perfectly okay, as it may facilitate relaxation and deeper engagement with the therapy. However, please refrain from attending sessions if you are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. For safety reasons, hypnotherapy cannot be conducted if you’re already in an altered state of consciousness. In such cases, sessions will be rescheduled, and cancellation fees may apply.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

The number of sessions required varies depending on your specific needs and the nature of your issue. Typically, clients find resolution within four to six sessions, but this very much depends on your specific needs and the nature of your issue.

I always aim to ensure your treatment is completed efficiently and effectively, minimizing the number of sessions required.

Smoking Cessation & Stopping Vaping are typically addressed in a single extended session, while certain phobias can often be treated in four sessions. The Virtual Gastric Band Weight Loss Programme & Hypno-Band Weight Loss System are typically conducted over four to five sessions.

How Much Will It All Cost?

If you’re concerned about the cost of hypnotherapy, know that it’s more affordable than you might expect, especially when compared to the price of not addressing your issue.

Consider the true cost of allowing your problem to persist unchecked. Investing in your well-being now can lead to long-term benefits and a happier, more fulfilling life.

Our Initial Consultation (IC) is priced at £75, subsequent Clinical Hypnotherapy Sessions are £85 and you can enjoy Discounted Rates when you book 4, 6, or 8 session packages, allowing you to save money while investing in your health and happiness.

What Are My Next Steps?

Our journey begins with a FREE 20 Minute Initial Chat. It’s an opportunity for you to tell me a bit about your issue, to ask questions, and seek advice. There’s no cost or obligation to book more sessions. Held over the phone.

If agreed or if you prefer you can proceed to book your Initial Consultation straight away of course.

We’ll explore your current feelings, personal goals, and assess if hypnotherapy is the right choice for you. It’s also an opportunity to ensure your comfortable working with me and to discuss the optimal approach for your unique situation.

You’ll also get a Free MP3 Audio which will support the work we do in sessions once we agree on a Treatment Plan or Programme.
