As a hypnotherapist I work with clients who want to make a positive change in their life. I can help with alleviating stress, improving sleep, overcoming unwanted habits, or working towards a particular goal which might be work-based or health-related.
The approach combines elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused brief therapy and hypnosis. I work online with most of my clients. The initial discussion helps to develop a clearer picture of what you are trying to achieve. I share relevant psychological and neuroscientific insights which can help in understanding and addressing the issue. Hypnosis helps to consolidate your thinking through deep relaxation which is a very pleasant experience.
I have a PhD, degrees in Psychology and Cognitive Science and extensive experience of working in corporate and academic environments. As a therapist I bring relevant academic knowledge, an evidence-based approach and a capacity to listen and be responsive to what you want to achieve.
Some therapies explore patterns of past behaviour which can raise awareness and achieve change over the long term. Solution focused hypnotherapy is forward looking and provides a positive space to achieve change quickly. Clients tend to notice to notice improvements in their interactions both at home and in the workplace:
“The [sessions] have been a truly positive, calming and empowering tool in my mental health toolkit.”
“I feel my default setting has moved. I don’t go down the negative path as easily.”
“The therapy was extremely relaxing and after just four sessions my goals were accomplished.”
I encourage potential clients to book a phone call (free of charge). This gives you a chance to get to know me a bit and to cover any initial questions you may have. The next step is to book an ‘initial consultation’. This session (approximately 50 minutes) provides an overview of the approach and a chance to talk through your goals. I will provide you with a guided relaxation MP3 to listen to between sessions.

Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
