About me
I am an experienced Senior Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist BA (Hons.) DHP DSFH HPD CNHC MNCH(Reg.) supporting adults online and in person for anxiety and stress in Queen Square Bristol, Clifton Bristol, and central Bath, UK. For more than a decade, it has been a privilege to collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds in both public and private sectors, assisting them in gaining a sense of empowerment and confidence. My experience includes helping individuals improve their abilities in specialised areas of performance psychology, such as sports, visual arts, and the performing arts, including TV and theatre. This involves tackling issues like public speaking anxiety, stress management, anxiety, stage fright, and confidence building.
I am thankful for the opportunity to have assisted in the recovery of those who have endured medical trauma, aided in the preparation for medical procedures, and aided in the rehabilitation of injured athletes in competitive sports. I have helped individuals dealing with conditions like shy bladder syndrome, IBS, and voice disorders like Spasmodic Dysphonia that are worsened by stress and anxiety. I also had the privilege of supporting essential workers in managing their stress and anxiety during the pandemic.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is the primary method I use in my practice. SFT is a collaborative approach that combines psychotherapy and hypnosis. The therapy is action-oriented, concise, and goal-driven. SFH blends elements of SFBT, CBT, mindfulness, and positive psychology to empower clients to create solutions and drive change, rather than dwelling on problems. By providing individuals with resources and tools, they can gain a sense of empowerment during challenging times in their life, or feel more prepared to tackle tasks such as a medical procedure, court appearance, or public speaking engagement, which can be daunting. If you're having a hard time or need assistance with a challenge, I am here to lend a helping hand.
ADHD
The diagnosis of ADHD in adults has been on the rise, attributed in part to heightened awareness through media and social media platforms.
If you suspect you might have ADHD, the initial step in the NHS pathway is typically to consult with your GP. Your GP cannot provide a formal diagnosis immediately, but they can address your concerns and recommend a specialist for further assessment if you wish. Feel free to reach out via email if you would like a list of Psychologists, Psychiatrists and ADHD clinics that specialise in screening, diagnosing and treating ADHD.

Additional information
Some clients choose to use some of their training or wellbeing budgets to pay for their sessions, and it is worth considering that this is also an option, especially for clients seeking help with public speaking, anxiety and stress management directly related to work performance. Hypnotherapy is also offered through some private healthcare providers. Private health cash plans allow you to spread the cost of certain healthcare expenses for a regular monthly premium. There are a variety of companies that provide this, with a range of benefits and costs.
