About me
If you're struggling or need assistance with a challenge, I am here to lend a helping hand. I am an experienced Senior Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist and Coach BA (Hons.) DHP DSFH HPD CNHC MNCH(Reg.) supporting adults online and in person for anxiety and stress in Queen Square Bristol, Clifton Bristol, and central Bath, UK.
Over the last 12 years, I have enjoyed working with people from various backgrounds in the public and private sectors, helping them to feel more empowered and confident. I have experience assisting individuals in improving their performance in specialised areas of psychology, such as sports and the visual and performing arts, including music, TV, and theatre. This includes addressing problems such as fear of public speaking, managing stress, anxiety, stage fright, and building confidence.
I am grateful to have been able to contribute to the recovery of individuals who have gone through medical trauma, assist in preparing for medical procedures, and support the rehabilitation of those who have been injured in competitive sports. I have assisted individuals suffering from disorders and conditions that are exacerbated by stress and anxiety, such as shy bladder syndrome, IBS, and voice disorders, such as Spasmodic Dysphonia. During the pandemic, I was fortunate enough to assist essential workers in coping with stress and anxiety.
I practice Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy. SFT is a collaborative approach that combines psychotherapy and hypnosis. The therapy is practical, short-term and goal-focused. SFH incorporates SFBT, CBT, mindfulness and positive psychology principles and practices to help clients instigate change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. Providing individuals with the right resources and tools can give them greater control during challenging times, such as facing a medical procedure, a court hearing, or delivering a presentation. This support can help ease the overwhelm and empower them better to navigate these situations and life's broader challenges.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m expanding my understanding of stress management and progressing towards certification in Stress Management and Resilience Building through the UK College of Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy. I recently completed a CPD in Understanding ADHD: Current Research and Practice at Kings College London. I hold the following accreditations, and I am registered with the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) for Health and Social Care and the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) under the accreditation of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Practitioners Council (CNHC).

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Additional information
Some clients choose to use some of their training or wellbeing budgets to pay for their sessions, and it is worth considering that this is also an option, especially for clients seeking help with public speaking, anxiety and stress management directly related to work performance. Hypnotherapy is also offered through some private healthcare providers. Private health cash plans allow you to spread the cost of certain healthcare expenses for a regular monthly premium. There are a variety of companies that provide this, with a range of benefits and costs.
