Hi, I'm Anne Gregory; a solution focused hypnotherapist with over 7 years experience.
Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool and I am passionate about helping you to make the changes that are right for you. Solution focused hypnotherapy can make a huge difference to your life, by helping to free you from self-limiting thoughts and behaviours, whilst allowing you to change your life in a positive way for the future.
I work with people who are struggling with anxiety and low self-confidence issues. I understand the difficulties people face and, as well as anxiety and confidence issues, I work with people suffering from stress related issues, panic attacks, phobias, insomnia and sleep disorders, low self-esteem, fear of public speaking, fear of flying, addictions and those people who wish to quit smoking.
I want to help you overcome these conditions and live the life you want. I work with people who genuinely want to make fundamental changes in their life, those willing to work with me to make changes happen.
We can identify your priorities and enable you to bring about the positive changes that are right for you. Hypnotherapy is a very effective way of accessing the subconscious mind to make the changes you want, to have the life you desire. It's a very enjoyable and relaxing experience!
What to expect in your first session.
The first session is a chance for us to discuss the issues you want help with and also identify your goals; so we have these in mind when we start and we know we are achieving the results you want. I will take contact details from you and find out a bit more background information, which helps to give me a broader picture to enable me to help you better.
I will also explain, using a simple diagram for illustration, how the brain works; how we can suffer in the way that we do and what we can do about it. Understanding why you're feeling the way you are is the first step to recognising and overcoming the issue; then learning how to deal with it in a much better way for the future.
We will end the session with hypnotherapy, so you leave with a feeling of calm and relaxation. I will also give you a sound file to listen to in-between the sessions, to consolidate the work we've done.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained with the prestigious Clifton Practice and qualified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. I hold the Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DHP) and have over 7 years of experience in helping people to positively change their lives with hypnotherapy.
I regularly update my skills by attending continuing professional development (CPD) courses. I have completed courses around neuroscience, disordered eating, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and solution focused brief therapy (SFBT); the principles I utilise within my sessions.
I have worked in a variety of care settings over the last 30 years: a qualified nursery nurse with young children; with women and children in a women’s refuge, with vulnerable adults who have learning disabilities, as a Community Support Worker. I feel this experience has given me a deeper understanding of people from all walks of life, and I love supporting people to have the best life they can.
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
Anxiety or panic is what we experience when our body senses a threat or danger around us, whether it's real or imagined. It is an instinctive response where we will either try to ‘fight’ the threat, take ‘flight’ from the threat or ‘freeze’ in the face of the threat. This was really useful for us when we were cavemen and women, fearing for our lives, but it’s not so helpful when we receive an unexpected bill, have a row with our partner or worry we’ve made a mistake at work. Even though these things are not life threatening, our bodies will treat them as if they are, which will cause us to panic – thereby raising our heart rate, cause our stomach to churn, our palms to sweat and our mind to go blank.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help you to relax more, see things from a better perspective and change the way you think, feel and react in certain situations.

Initially I offer a FREE telephone/Zoom consultation, which allows me to explain a little more about what to expect and how the sessions may help you and also allows you to ask any questions you may have.
Sessions will be approximately 1.5 hours in the first session and approximately 1 hour in each subsequent session.
Once you are happy to go ahead the fee per session is £70*
*10 week, bespoke programme available - £649 (recommended).
The following issues can be massively improved with hypnotherapy.
Work Related Issues
[Stop Smoking - 1 session of up to 2 hours or 2 sessions;
session 1 up to 60 minutes, session 2 up to 70 minutes. Cost - £140]
Zoom or telephone sessions may be a better option for you if:
- leaving your home is a problem
- travelling/distance are an issue
- your time is limited
- you have a disability or other accessibility issues
- you would feel more comfortable doing online or telephone sessions.
If we are working online or on the telephone, I ask for payment to be made the day before the session via BACS transfer.

Please remember though, commitment and motivation are necessary to gain the most benefit from the sessions.
All sessions include:
- 1 to 1 session time or Zoom session time (if this is the option you choose).
- Sound files to consolidate the work done in the sessions.
- Ongoing email support between sessions.
- Motivational text messages.
I am flexible regarding appointments, as I know people have other commitments; so I offer some evening and Saturday appointments, as well as daytime appointments from Tuesday to Friday.
