About me

Are you ready to make meaningful changes in your life, but feeling overwhelmed or unsure of where to start? I am here to support you on your journey. As a passionate and experienced therapist, I believe that you hold the solutions to your challenges within you, and it's my role to help you uncover and utilise your inner resources to reach your goals.

With flexible appointment options, both face-to-face and online, I understand the demands of a busy life and strive to make therapy accessible to you. During our sessions, you can expect a non-judgmental, compassionate, and empowering environment where we work together to create a personalised plan to help you reach your desired outcomes.

With a focus on the present and future, I'll help you identify your strengths and build upon them for lasting change. You can expect to leave therapy with a greater understanding of your potential, newfound confidence, and practical tools to navigate life's challenges with ease.

My background in psychology, community mental health, counselling, solution-focused brief therapy, and a range of hypnotherapy styles, combined with my ongoing learning and commitment to growth, allows me to provide you with the best possible care. As a neurodiverse individual, I bring a unique perspective to therapy.

Are you struggling with the aftermath of a traumatic event? You are not alone, and I am here to support you on your journey. As a trauma-informed therapist, I have received specialised training to work with a wide range of different types of trauma, from small events to catastrophic life-changing experiences. I understand the unique and often complex needs of those who have experienced trauma, and I approach therapy with a deep sense of empathy and compassion.

You can expect a safe and non-judgmental environment in our sessions, where we'll work together to help you process and integrate your experiences in a way that leads to growth and healing. My aim is to empower you with the tools and insights you need to move beyond the impact of trauma and toward a brighter future. I believe that everyone has the ability to heal and recover from even the most difficult of experiences.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Science (Psychology), a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy (Distinction), and a Diploma in Counselling. I am also a proud member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and serve as their Training and Accreditation Officer, upholding the highest standards of training in the UK.

Choose me as your therapist and let's work together to bring out the best in you and help you reach your full potential

Client Testimonials:

"I was quite skeptical when I started working with Abbey, but within just a couple of sessions I noticed a massive difference in my energy levels. I've stopped being in reactive mode and am now proactively working to keep the improvements coming!"

"Abbey has a really kind and gentle manner. I felt really safe talking to her and she really listened to me. She made really tough conversations easy and I laughed a lot which I wasn't expecting. I'm looking forward to working with her again"

Training, qualifications & experience

Before you commit to starting therapy with anyone, you want to know a little about them…

In life, I’ve usually taken the path less traveled, and as a result of this, I have a wealth of life experiences that I can bring to the table.  My mum has always said that if I can do things the hard way, I will.  I love to learn and explore and I’m very curious about what’s going on in their world and our relationships and experiences and how we can make them better.

This curiosity has paid off, because I’ve studied and learned a wide array of different skills that I can employ at the right moment to help you make the changes you want.

  • Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology)
  • Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy (Distinction)
