About me

‘I want to help you not only process your inner pains, but also become more Whole through them.’

If you are feeling low, anxious, depressed, or tired of that all-too-familiar pain within you, you are not alone.

If you are curious to discover more of yourself, to explore, and grow, you are already taking that step.

If you are ready for change, then you have come to the right place.

Life, through its many experiences, shall lead us to many emotions and sensations. Whether it be anxiety, trauma, addiction, grief, depression, abuse (and many more), these experiences can lead us to shatter parts of ourselves, to disconnect that little part of us that endured such pain. Alone and disconnected, we did the only thing we could do to survive - we let that part go. But the reality is that, far from letting it go, that part became suppressed, repressed, ignored, and after a while a familiar weight upon our backs that we carry everywhere we go, defining and shaping our reality as we move forward. And wherever we may run, however long we may move and distract, escape and ‘forget’, we are always aware, on some level, of that pain, of that turmoil that was unavoidably or unjustly put upon us.

So what can we do? Run some more? Pretend to be another person? Repeat the same routine we always do, hoping today it shall be different? Of course, we are human. It is what we do. But when we realise that it does not work, when we finally admit to ourselves that ‘this isn’t working’, we do the bravest thing anyone can do -  reach out for help, for support.

My name is Serhan, and I am a Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist. I have experience working across a range of settings including secondary schools, NHS hospital environments (both mental health and physical health wards), residential rehab services, online therapy platforms, and private practice.

Through this work, I have supported individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures across the world, often face-to-face and through various online mediums, working with adults aged 18 and above. I offer both short-term and long-term therapeutic support depending on each person’s needs and goals. My work is holistic, humanistic and person-centred, meaning I aim to work with the whole person rather than focusing on only a single aspect of our difficulties. Every individual is unique, and my approach adapts to the needs, pace and goals of the person sitting in front of me, creating a safe space for open exploration through communication, compassion and therapeutic engagement, whilst allowing room for reflection and the gentle challenges that can support growth and understanding within therapy.

Alongside talking therapy, I also work with hypnotherapeutic techniques where appropriate, allowing us to explore subconscious patterns, emotional responses and habits that may be more difficult to access through conversation alone. My work integrates approaches such as Parts Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic work, and grounding and mindfulness techniques to help develop practical ways of managing distress, regulating emotions and creating a greater sense of safety and stability. Somatic work involves working with the body as well as the mind, helping to access and explore emotions that can be held physically or felt beneath the surface of our conscious awareness. These perspectives recognise that different ‘parts’ of ourselves can hold emotions, memories, beliefs or protective roles developed through life experiences; by exploring these internal dynamics with curiosity and compassion, therapy supports greater understanding, balance and integration within the self. Because Parts Work focuses on the internal system rather than a single symptom, it can be helpful across a wide range of difficulties.

At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should be a space where you feel safe, seen and understood. When individuals feel able to express themselves openly and honestly, meaningful reflection and change can begin to take place.

My aim is to support you in feeling empowered to explore your experiences, to develop further and deeper awareness of yourself, to create internal tools for dealing & processing life, and above all, to accept yourself, as you are, where you are.

We cannot choose the cards we are dealt. We cannot choose our circumstances, nor who we are. But we must never forget that we always have a choice - to heal, to grow, to adapt, practise, and change.

If you feel this approach resonates with you, you are welcome to reach out to arrange an initial conversation or session.

I very much look forward to going on this journey with you.

I hope this finds you well, and good luck.
