Break free from long-standing issues with RTT

One of the most common concerns I hear from potential clients is: "I've had this problem for so many years - I'll probably need lots of sessions." I love explaining how this isn't the case at all, and seeing their relief when they understand why.

When clients first get in contact, many assume that because they've struggled with an issue for years or even decades, it must require extensive therapy to resolve. This is a natural assumption, especially if they've tried other approaches like traditional talk therapy. However, I explain that the duration of their problem doesn't determine how many sessions they'll need - what matters is accessing the root cause, which we can often do in just 1-3 sessions.

The power of multiple modalities

What makes RTT particularly effective is how it combines different therapeutic techniques while clients are in a receptive, subconscious state. During the session, the following modalities are used:

  • Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) to help reshape limiting beliefs;
  • Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to establish new thought patterns;
  • and hypnotherapy to embed these changes deeply in the subconscious mind.

Some potential clients question the efficacy of NLP and CBT as they may have used these tools in the past but they didn't feel that they were beneficial. The experience is very different when hypnosis is incorporated as when they are under hypnosis, they’re in a relaxed state. This means that their usual mental barriers and resistance naturally fall away. We can press pause on 'the monkey mind' which allows us to do profound work that might take months or years in traditional talk therapy. I've seen this work time and time again with issues ranging from anxiety and phobias to addictions and limiting beliefs.

Success stories

Recently, I worked with a client who had been smoking for 30 years. She had tried everything - willpower, nicotine patches, and various other cessation methods - but nothing had worked. During our RTT session, we discovered that her smoking habit was rooted in a deep-seated belief that she needed to punish herself. This revelation was transformative. After just one session and listening to her personalised recording for 30 days, she was able to stop smoking completely.

Another client had been dealing with procrastination for decades which was stopping her from truly reaching her potential. In just one session of RTT, she regressed back to the scene in childhood which gave her the 'aha' moment where she understood that the procrastination she was experiencing was her deep-rooted feeling of not being smart enough, so it was protecting her by preventing her from failing. Once she understood this, we were able to reframe this false belief, and she was able to take back control of her thoughts and finish her course to change her career.

This is what I love about RTT - it doesn't matter if someone has had an issue for three months or thirty years. Once we access the subconscious mind and understand the root cause, transformation can happen remarkably quickly.

Why fewer sessions can lead to lasting change

It's not about how long a client has had the issue - it's about accessing and transforming the root cause. Think of it like this: if you've had a splinter for weeks, it doesn't take longer to remove it than if you'd had it for a day. Once you get to the root cause (the splinter), healing can begin immediately.

Consequently, we can often help clients achieve significant breakthroughs in just 1-3 sessions, regardless of how long they've struggled with their issue. The key is that we're working directly with the subconscious mind, where these patterns and beliefs are stored. This is where RTT's unique power lies: we're not just talking about the issue, we're accessing and transforming the root cause while the analytical mind is relaxed and open to change.

Supporting lasting change

After each session, clients are provided with a personalised recording to listen to for 30 days. This helps to reinforce the positive changes that have been made in the session and embed new, empowering beliefs at a deep, subconscious level.

If you've been struggling with a long-standing issue and assume you'll need months or years of therapy to resolve it, I encourage you to consider RTT. Whether you've been dealing with your challenge for 30 days or 30 years, transformation can happen more quickly than you might think. The duration of your struggle doesn't determine the length of your journey to freedom - what matters is accessing and transforming the root cause, which we can often accomplish in just a few powerful sessions.

Remember, your subconscious mind holds both the root cause and the key to transformation. Through RTT's integrated approach, you can access this powerful part of your mind and create lasting positive change, often more quickly than you ever thought possible.
