About me

Hello, I’m Gareth Thomas, a registered clinical hypnotherapist with nearly 20 years’ experience helping people understand the patterns that keep them stuck and create meaningful, lasting change.

People often come to me feeling anxious, overwhelmed or unable to switch off. They may replay conversations, anticipate problems, experience panic attacks, struggle with persistent low mood or feel exhausted by stress and burnout. Others want help with confidence, fears and phobias, IBS, smoking cessation, weight management or unwanted habits and patterns.

My approach is calm, thoughtful and highly personalised. Before any hypnosis begins, we take time to talk. I listen carefully, help you understand why your mind may be responding in the way it is, explain how hypnosis works and agree what you would like to change. You will not be judged, rushed or treated as though you are broken.

I also offer neurodivergent-friendly hypnotherapy for autistic and ADHD adults, including professionals who mask, overthink, become overstimulated or find it difficult to recover after work. The work respects how your individual mind functions; it is about understanding, regulation and meaningful support rather than trying to change who you are.

Sessions take place in a private and comfortable therapy room in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire. Online hypnotherapy is also available throughout the UK and worldwide, offering the same conversation, explanation and personalised therapeutic work from your own private space.

Appointments are available during weekday evenings and throughout the weekend. If you are unsure whether hypnotherapy is right for you, you are welcome to contact me with any questions before arranging an appointment.

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level. All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
