Vanessa Edwards (Dip CHyp HPD NLP Practitioner) MNCH, CNHC CHBP
Hello and thanks for visiting my profile.
Having had hypnotherapy myself some years ago, I know the value that this type of therapy offers and this is what inspired me to train to become a Cognitive Hypnotherapist. Life has a habit of throwing us unwanted challenges and I believe that we are all fellow strugglers, but I have learnt how hypnotherapy can help you change the way you think, by changing your mindset, freeing you from ingrained negative thoughts, habits and beliefs.
I took my time to research one of the best trainers I could find and I’m proud to say I trained with Trevor Silvester at the Quest Institute at Regents University, London.
I have a special interest in working with women to overcome difficulties with confidence, stress and anxiety, as well as working with weight loss issues, phobias, insomnia, OCD, smoking, bad habits and depression. I have also done additional training in hypnobirthing.
Having come from a background in education, as a Specialist Teacher, I have always enjoyed working with children and teenagers. As a result, I have done additional training with 'Kids Matter' to help young people who are struggling with a range of difficulties from anxiety, confidence issues, bad habits, sleep issues, bed wetting and self-esteem issues amongst others.
I am also a certified Easibirthing Hypnobirthing Practitioner and enjoy helping women and their partners overcome any anxieties and fears related to birthing. My aim is to equip you with strategies and techniques to cope and enjoy this special experience and utilise this in childbirth and beyond. Easibirthing Hypnobirthing is usually taught as a private 5 session package, it takes mothers-to-be through the stages of labour and birth, through to the postnatal stage and beyond. I teach women the three principles of remaining calm, confident and in control. Whatever type of birth a mother experiences, by learning deep relaxation and visualisation, the mother is able to go 'within themselves' and retain a sense of calm and control even when a birth experience has not been straight forward, giving them every chance of the best outcome for their baby and themselves.

You can email me or contact me on 07523101952 for a free consultation. The first session consists of an in-depth discussion of your issue and I will suggest a treatment plan for you. I will send you an audio recording based on the information gained from this initial session. As hypnotherapy is a collaborative therapy, and not something that is 'done to you', it is important that you are committed to listening to these recordings regularly as they play an important part of your treatment. Often clients are assigned tasks such as journaling, book recommendations or online clips to watch, that can help with their issue. The first couple of sessions are normally a week apart and then sometimes monthly, depending on the particular problem. Usually treatment takes between 3-6 sessions, but some can take longer, if there are many layers to their issue. Treatments can be booked as a discounted package or individual sessions.
Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to have a chat about your issue or to discuss any other issues that I may be able to help you with, I'd love to hear from you.
If you'd like to receive a free audio recording designed to encourage relaxation and boost your immune system during these challenging times, email me on the above address.
