Steve Thomson - Sussex Hypnotherapy & Coaching
I have been a coach for over 15 years and a hypnotherapist for 9 years. I’ve had particular success working with people suffering from anxieties, as well as with phobias and fears, habit and behaviour changes. Weight control (gaining as well as losing) is as area where I’ve seen some great results.
Your hypnotherapy is supported throughout by coaching and CBT to enhance and reinforce the benefits.
As well as being a qualified and accredited hypnotherapist I hold qualifications in CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and NLP (neuro linguistic programming).
Training, qualifications & experience
Qualified hypnotherapist and registered with the General Hypnotherapy Council. Also qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
The General Hypnotherapy Register
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Born in Scotland, I moved to London in the late 1970s and worked as a photographer. Became a sports presenter in the mid 1980s, around the time I was married. Subsequently moved gradually into training, coaching and later hypnotherapy. Moved to Chichester in 2012 due mostly to my wife's ill-health, and on her death in 2015 decided to move away from corporate work and concentrate on working with people who are looking to change aspects of their lives or behaviours. I offer a blend of coaching and hypnotherapy which my clients find effective and refreshing.
