About me
Hello, I am Sarah, a Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist, trauma- informed counsellor and therapeutic coach. I have six years’ experience of supporting people in a therapeutic capacity. I also have lived experience of ADHD and offer an LGBTQ and neuro-affirming space. I believe in creating an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome.
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is a future-focused and goal orientated therapy that combines traditional talking therapy, neuroscience and gentle hypnosis, with an emphasis on calming the nervous system over analysis of the past. It is beneficial for a wide range of issues, especially where traditional talking therapies have not helped.
I support clients with, but am not limited to, those experiencing anxiety and overwhelm, stress and burn out, low self-esteem and sleep difficulties. Also, those seeking healthier relationships and a clearer sense of purpose. Where appropriate, my counselling background allows me to blend hypnotherapy, counselling and coaching and include various approaches to suit each individual. I enjoy bringing a spiritually informed approach to my practice for those open to it, and I love helping clients manifest their intentions.
Training, qualifications & experience
My own experience with anxiety led me to seek hypnotherapy and it was through that experience that I decided to embark on the training. In addition to my private practice, I have counselled students online at Durham University and volunteered at The Swan Project in Bristol, an agency helping people dealing with complex trauma, loss, and addiction.
I hold a qualification in Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy, having trained with Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT)
I hold a foundation degree in Integrative Counselling (accredited) at the University of Worcester and Iron Mill College, Exeter.

The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice.
