I hold a Doctorate in Law and Legal Sciences, a qualification that reflects years of hard work and dedication to understanding the complexities of the legal system.
However, after years in the legal field, I recognised a growing desire to explore a new path—one that would allow me to help individuals in a more personal and transformative way.
This led me to pursue a career in hypnotherapy. The decision to change careers was not taken lightly, but it was one that I felt deeply compelled to make. I went through the necessary training and certifications to become a certified clinical hypnotherapist, and I have never looked back.
While the fields of law and hypnotherapy might seem vastly different, the skills I developed in the legal sphere, such as critical thinking, empathy, and a deep understanding of human behaviour—have proven to be incredibly valuable in my work as a hypnotherapist. These abilities allow me to listen attentively, understand my clients’ needs, and help them navigate the process of change with clarity and confidence.
This transition has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my professional journey, combining my passion for helping others with a newfound purpose.

Member organisations
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
