NLP and Parts therapy also offered.
As a therapist, I’m empathic and caring. I have navigated mental ill-health myself and have recovered. My route into therapy is informed by over twenty years of teaching and lecturing experiences. I'm easy to talk to and I’m a great listener. I have been in private practice since 2021 and left a full time University lecturer’s post to further my passion for helping others. Along the way, I have also worked as a head of a department in the TV Drama and Film sectors helping companies to meet the requirements around Covid testing and compliance were adhered to. I also supported the wellbeing of cast members and crews as the Mental Health First Aider.
After taking courses in Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy, I decided to add in modes of therapy that provide lasting change in a relatively short space of time. I qualified with two diplomas during the lockdown. Firstly with the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma(H.P.D) which is considered the Gold standard in the UK, and also with the Solution Focused Brief Therapy Diploma. During the pandemic, therapists continued to support clients using hybrid approaches, the face to face and online training ground means that I am as comfortable seeing clients on online platforms as I am with seeing clients in person. Both approaches work. I am registered with the National Council for Hypnotherapy, and the Complimentary and Natural Health Care Council. I am engaged in regular CPD which has included, Neuroscience, NLP and Parts Therapy. I am fully insured.
I look forward to working with you.
