Karen Briggs BA(Hons), HPD, DSFH, CNHC, MNCH, Solution Focused Hypnotherapist
Hello and thank you for visiting my profile. I am a fully qualified Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist based in Lancaster City Centre.
I have worked successfully with clients with a range of issues, from Insomnia, Panic Attacks, IBS, General Anxiety and Depression to OCD, Weight Management, Stop Smoking and Phobias - in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy we work together to focus on finding solutions for your future without dwelling on your past.
I can help you to move through anxiety and live a happier, calmer life where you feel in control. Many of the symptoms that I see in clients are often largely reduced following a course of therapy.
Initial consultations are free as they allow you to meet me and get to know me. I will ask you what you want to get out of the sessions and explain how working with me and solution focused hypnotherapy will help.
I will work with you on a one to one basis and tailor the sessions to suit your needs. Face to face sessions are held at the Lancaster Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy on Sulyard Street (just off Dalton Square). During lock down, sessions are available online using GDPR compliant online platforms such as zoom or face time.
If you would like to make positive changes, please drop an e-mail to get further details and make a booking for an initial consultation.
Or you can find more details via the website.
I look forward to working with you.

Just some of the client feedback:
Client Feedback (lots more feedback on Google reviews or testimonials on my website)
I went to see Karen after struggling following a close bereavement as well as wanting to calm my mind and find some peace within my busy life, so a mix of issues. Karen calmly and supportively helped me to develop a coherent plan, building on my achievements each week alongside using hypnotherapy to support with entrenched thoughts. Karen helped me to accept the journey of grieving and to understand the connections between my loss and not allowing myself time to relax and enjoy activities. I had never considered this type of approach before but having seen how much my daughter had benefited wanted to meet with Karen. I would highly recommend Karen, the combination of approaches she is able to use, and her professional manner, quickly gave me confidence in her abilities to help, which she certainly has. Thank you, Karen.
I have tried three different talking therapies for my dog phobia and none were successful. So I decided to try a different approach which was recommended to me hypnotherapy. After three sessions I have been able to achieve things that I thought weren’t possible. I have been able to go places that use to put me off because of dogs. I’m now able to be a normal mum and take my child to the park and go to places with my friends and family. Karen has helped me so much I appreciate everything she has done for me, I would highly recommend for anything concerns or fears you have.
What a wonderful life experience it has been, meeting Karen and, with her help, restoring my perspective on life. I went to see Karen with anxiety issues, deeply rooted from birth trauma and the death of my son 14 years ago, followed by the death of both parents soon after. Karen is so easy to talk to, she is a great listener, very warm and compassionate and I always felt at ease in our sessions. Karen has helped me to find my inner calm again which I was struggling to find on my own.
This experience has been so rewarding, I wish I had done it sooner. I would recommend Karen to anyone who feels they are carrying around their worries and fears. I am undoubtedly in a much better place thanks to Karen's help.
