I'm Joanna, a Cognitive Hypnotherapist specialising in helping women break free from the patterns that keep them hidden and small.
Using a powerful blend of Hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT, and Positive Psychology, I work with your subconscious mind - the part of you that controls 90% of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours – to uncover and transform the hidden blocks that fuel self-doubt and fear.
My approach is rooted in compassion and understanding - every behaviour has a positive intention, even when it's causing you pain. Together, we'll explore what shaped these patterns and gently reshape them, so you can step into confidence, trust yourself deeply, and thrive in every area of your life.
I work with women and non-binary folk online and in-person in Clifton, Bristol, UK.
What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy?
So much of how you feel, decide, and respond is happening without you even realising it - shaped by patterns and processes outside your conscious awareness. Meaning you can get stuck in behaviours and beliefs that aren't helping you in your life, without ever seeing what's driving them.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy gives you access to your subconscious mind, where those patterns live, so you can reframe the root cause and create lasting change that actually sticks.
Using trance states, we tap into the subconscious to identify and let go of the underlying causes behind challenging thoughts or reactions. This opens the door to deep transformation.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy uses your brain’s adaptability to facilitate profound personal growth. By reshaping anything disempowering in your mind, you can begin to create more positive thoughts and a more fulfilling life.

My qualifications include:
- HPD (Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma)
- DipCHyp (Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy)
- NLP Master Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming Master Practitioner)
Member organisations
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.

- This is an opportunity for us to explore where you are in life, what you are seeking support with, and whether we might be a good fit to work together.
- The first session will last up to 90 minutes.
- All subsequent sessions will last between 60 - 75 minutes.
