Analytical & Holistic Hypnotherapist

About me

I’m Jo, a qualified hypnotherapist offering a warm, supportive and individual approach to therapy. I hold a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, a Level 5 qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and training in Hypnocoaching and QPR.

Alongside my therapy work, I have spent the past 14 years working as an Assistant SENDCo within a mainstream high school, supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs, including ASD, ADHD and the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). This experience has taught me the importance of building trust, listening without judgement and adapting my approach to suit the individual.

I have always been fascinated by the mind and by understanding why we think, feel and behave in the ways we do. My approach combines analytical hypnotherapy with holistic techniques and elements of CBT. Where appropriate, gently exploring past experiences and beliefs can help clients gain a greater understanding of patterns that may still be influencing how they think or feel today.

I support clients with a range of issues including anxiety, stress, confidence and self-esteem, habits and phobias. I also have a particular interest in working with children and young people aged 10+ and supporting women throughout their fertility and birthing journey, from fertility treatment and IVF through pregnancy, hypnobirthing and preparation for birth.

Sessions are tailored to each individual and are offered face-to-face from therapy rooms in Leigh and Horwich, as well as online. Evening and weekend appointments are also available.

My aim is to provide a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where clients feel listened to, understood and supported to make positive and lasting changes at a pace that feels right for them.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained with Yorkshire Hypnotherapy Training and hold a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, alongside a Level 5 qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Hypnocoaching training, and QPR training. In addition to my therapeutic qualifications, I have 14 years’ experience working as an Assistant SENDCo in a mainstream high school, supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs, including ASD, ADHD and those who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

This background has given me extensive experience in building trust, adapting my approach to the individual, and supporting people in a calm, patient, and non-judgemental way.
