Phobia & Trauma Specialist | The Bridge

About me

What would your life look like if that fear simply wasn't there anymore?

Whether it's flying, needles, dogs, driving, public speaking, or a traumatic memory that still catches you off guard, fear has a way of quietly shrinking your world. It influences the choices you make, the opportunities you take, and the freedom you feel.

The good news is that these fears are learned patterns, not permanent parts of who you are. And what has been learned can often be unlearned.

I created The Bridge™, a focused three-session programme designed specifically for phobias and traumatic memories. Unlike open-ended talking therapy, it offers a clear, structured process with a beginning, middle and end, helping you move from avoidance to confidence as efficiently as possible.

Perhaps you recognise yourself in some of these:

  • avoiding holidays because of a fear of flying
  • cancelling medical appointments because of needle phobia
  • taking long detours to avoid motorways or bridges
  • asking someone else to deal with spiders or dogs
  • feeling embarrassed because everyone tells you to "just get over it"
  • feeling trapped by a memory that still brings fear, panic or distress

If any of this sounds familiar, you're exactly the sort of person I help.

My approach combines Cognitive Hypnotherapy, NLP and trauma-informed techniques, including Compassionate Trauma Repair and The Rewind Technique. Rather than simply helping you manage fear, we work with the way your brain has stored the emotional response in the first place. As that response updates, many people find they can respond with a sense of calm where fear once took over.

Whether you've lived with your fear for six months or sixty years, change is still possible.

The Bridge™ follows three focused sessions:

Session one: We uncover exactly how your fear has been maintained and what needs to change.

Session two: We do the core therapeutic work to update the emotional response driving the fear or traumatic memory.

Session three: We strengthen the change so you can move forward with confidence in real-life situations.

Many of my clients come to me after years of avoiding situations, trying to push through, or being told they'll simply have to live with their fear. Watching someone board a plane, attend a medical appointment, drive confidently again, or finally feel at peace with a difficult memory is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Sessions are available online and in person.

Alongside my specialist work with phobias and traumatic memories, I also support adults and young people aged 14+ with anxiety, panic, confidence and fear of public speaking.

If a phobia, fear or traumatic memory is stopping you from living the life you want, I'd love to help you cross The Bridge™ and discover what's possible when fear no longer gets the final say.

Professional Experience

I spent two years working as a therapist in secondary schools with teenagers through Grow Therapeutic Coaching, supporting young people through anxiety, low confidence, and the pressures of just being a teenager today. That time gave me a real feel for what adolescents are actually dealing with, and it's part of why I work well with clients aged 14+.

Current Professional Development

I'm currently training in InCorr Method Level 2, an advanced trauma-informed approach that helps practitioners identify and resolve the underlying emotional pain driving trauma responses, so the change actually holds.
