About me
Hello, I'm an experienced Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist working with adults and children both online and in-person. I can support you with issues such as abuse, anxiety, fears, relationship problems, stress, sleep problems and much more.
Clients have been able to make huge progress with their minds from only a few sessions of hypnotherapy with me. I'm told often that children and adults find it easier than expected, to be open and vulnerable while exploring their concerns because they experience me as warm, supportive and empathetic.
My aim is to help clients gain a better understanding of the cause of their concerns and help them towards a resolution within a gentle, non-judgemental therapeutic relationship. Whilst clients are achieving the goals which brought them to therapy, they also make progress in other areas of their lives which they may not have expected and that enables them to enjoy life on a whole new level.
Those who suffer from stress, anxiety and panic attacks find themselves spending much more time alone at home and avoiding situations which trigger anxiety and other unpleasant emotions. Additionally clients who are suffer from low moods, often feel too exhausted to socialise because they often don't get the right quality of sleep due to the reduction of REM which is an important stage of sleep.
Here's what I can offer my clients
- Sessions in person as well as online sessions via Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime and Teams.
- Free 15-minute telephone consultation which can be scheduled via this link.
- The first 30 minutes of the first session are for free!
- I am one of the few hypnotherapists who record your hypnosis while it is taking place.
- You receive a free recording of your hypnosis session so that you can reinforce the hypnosis and self-help any time you need to in the future.
Do you or your child struggle to relax and find it difficult to sleep?
Many people who, suffer from anxiety and stress, lay awake worrying for hours with thoughts flooding through their minds and this prevents them from sleeping. Some people feel so tired and low that they don't have the desire or energy to do the things they used to enjoy.
Anxiety has an enormous impact on many areas of people's lives and can manifest with people suffering from social anxiety, fear of intimacy, work performance anxiety and fear of using public transport as well as blockages in other areas of their lives.
There are many people who suffer from fear of flying and therefore haven't had a holiday in another country for a long time. For some, anxiety manifests with things such as over thinking, over eating/under eating, headaches, OCD, IBS, skin problems and many more symptoms.
Alcohol and other addictions have been linked to anxiety and low moods and low self-esteem. Addictions can perpetuate the unpleasant emotions as well as reduce motivation to make progress.
Hypnotherapy is a very effective way to solving the issues that cause people to over eat as well as help clients make the changes needed in order to reduce their weight.
Having a better self-esteem and peace of mind is fundamental as it affects all areas of our lives. It has been my greatest joy helping clients and seeing their lives change so that they can live the live they want and deserve.
How I can help you: The subconscious mind is the part of our mind that 'runs the show'; perhaps this makes sense to you because even though you may have tried to stop certain thoughts, behaviours and habits, you can't explain why those continue. The reason hypnotherapy enables quick results is because 90% of your mind is subconscious and that's where many unhealthy beliefs are held.
Unhealthy beliefs can mean that people sabotage important areas of their lives and prevent them from living life to the full. Unhealthy beliefs are at the root of unhealthy thoughts and behaviours. Hypnotherapy works directly with the subconscious mind and is incredibly effective for making many changes at a root level.
I use the philosophy and tools of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) combined with techniques such as regression, inner child work, parts therapy, past life regression as well as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Processing (EMDR) to help clients change their minds and change their lives.
About me: I was brought up experiencing domestic violence and childhood abuse and I spent time in foster care when I was four years old. As a result of childhood trauma, I left school without passing any exams and I wandered through life wondering when I would ever stop feeling like a slave to my emotions. I lacked career direction for a long time while struggling to feel good about myself and my life.
Having suffered from depression, anxiety and a very low self-esteem, I understand the journey of recovery and the importance of the therapeutic relationship between a client and therapist.
I spent many years having therapy and eventually I change and replace my unhealthy beliefs, which were downloaded during my childhood, for healthier beliefs. This enabled me to stop the unpleasant thoughts and unhealthy behaviours and I continued to grow from strength to strength while increasing my self-worth and confidence.
I was able to make big changes in my life including a career change from working in banking to becoming a successful, compassionate hypnotherapist who knows what it what the journey is like to go from suffering to feeling fulfilled and at peace.
I love helping people and I can say that my work has helped me to realise the reason I was born.
We are not here to suffer and it is so important that we make the most of who we are and live life to the full.
Be blessed and live a life you love! 🧡
Elaine

If you change your mind; you change your life so you can start living the life you deserve….
- Do you find that something seems to get in your way, thwarting your efforts, hindering your relationships and preventing you from living the life you want?
- Do you find yourself repeating the same destructive patterns of behaviour which adversely affect important areas of your life as well as important relationships; even though you want to stop and you try to stop?
- Do you struggle with irritable bowel syndrome, pain management, skin conditions, chronic fatigue, insomnia, tinnitus, weight concerns, nail biting, blushing, stuttering, anxiety – panic attacks, low moods, low self-esteem, phobias and excessive fears, performance anxiety, social anxiety, OCDs, assertiveness or procrastination problems and addictions such as smoking and drinking excessive alcohol?
- Do you ever wonder why you continue to think, act and voice things that you don’t want to?
People manifest unconscious, unhealthy beliefs that are at the heart of emotional disturbance. Unhealthy beliefs can cause individuals to have unpleasant thoughts and emotions, and unwanted behaviour as well as unwanted habits and even addictions; thus people think and behave in ways that sabotage important areas of their lives. Unhealthy beliefs are often buried in the subconscious mind, the part of our mind that ‘runs the show’ and the subconscious part of our mind is the area of the mind which hypnosis works with to bring about awareness and lasting changes. Perhaps this makes sense to you because you have tried to stop certain thoughts, behaviour and habits however you can’t explain why it continues; perhaps I can help. The process, techniques and philosophy of cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy (CBH) can be applied to many types of problems while enabling clients to understand how their thinking affects their moods and their behaviour.

COMMENTS FROM HAPPY CLIENTS: Eva, Kensington, London I don't know what I would have done without Elaine. I came to Elaine because I was highly stressed by work and personal issues. Through hypnotherapy with Elaine I discovered that the cause for many of my issues developed during childhood. One by one Elaine helped me change the unhealthy behaviours and emotions and we created new healthier programming for my mind. With Elaine’s help, I was able to remain calm despite turmoil and Elaine ensured that I saw the light at the end of the tunnel throughout my journey. For this I will always be tremendously grateful. I would highly recommend Elaine to anyone going through challenges in their lives.
Marc, Aldershot, Hampshire I had hypnotherapy with Elaine Kimber to stop smoking in February 2013 and I found it much easier to stop smoking after hypnosis. I felt very relaxed and comfortable having hypnosis with Elaine and I was relieved that it worked. Elaine was very professional and well prepared for my hypnotherapy session. I went back to see Elaine about something personal that I needed help with and I was surprised how quickly I changed within only two sessions. I would recommend Elaine to anyone who wants to make changes in the way they live.
I decided to take the plunge and sit a graded practical music exam as it was something I had always wanted to achieve. With just 8 weeks to the examination it became very apparent that I was suffering from extreme anxiety (shaking ,sweating and a sheer lack of confidence) when I had to play in front of stranger including my own tutor. I realised that without getting the correct help there would be no way I was going to pass the exam let alone enter the examination room.
I researched various Hypnotherapists online and came across Elaine’s web page which straight away ticked all the boxes. My first consultation with Elaine was over the telephone. I found her to be very knowledgeable and she showed a great deal of empathy when I explained the severity of my anxiety and explained the time frame I had set myself. A week after my initial phone call I met Elaine for our first session and to be honest I was very apprehensive and skeptical about the session that I was about to undertake. From the start of our session Elaine was very reassuring, calming and informative. She explained in great depth what would happen in the sessions and a realistic outcome of what would be achieved.
In my first session with Elaine I was very pleased that she was been able to pin point the route of what had caused my anxiety and it made perfect sense.
After just the first session with Elaine there was a significant change to my anxiety levels and my general wellbeing. I had 5 more sessions with Elaine and after each session I noticed changes in my anxiety levels. Before my exam I had to attend a rehearsal studio and play along with a pianist. This was something that I would never have been able to do. But with Elaine’s patience and reassurance I was able to this. I not only went on to sit my graded musical exam and I am also pleased to say I also passed!
I personally would have no hesitation in recommending Elaine. I found her to be very professional, extremely knowledgeable and caring. What I found most refreshing and was strikingly evident about Elaine was that she has a real passion and dedication for her job and she is 110% committed to achieving the best results for her clients. Without Elaine’s help I would have never passed the exam. Thank you Elaine!

I had been struggling to live normal with the everyday life, As, I was claustrophobic and in general I was anxious person. I was not able to live the way I wanted as I was feeling fear for lost things. Elaine helped me immensely. The therapies were great and relax. I felt the treatment didn’t work straight away however after few months I realised I was able to use the underground and I was doing things that I wasn’t able to it in the past. I feel more relax and happy after Elaine treatment.
