About me
I see clients online via Zoom from Monday to Friday. Please get in touch for a free 30 minute phone consultation to see if we're a good fit.
I’m a Cognitive Hypnotherapist with a friendly and relaxed online practice where you will be assured of a warm, welcoming and professional service in line with the standards and Code of Ethics of the National Council for Hypnotherapy. Cognitive Hypnotherapy can get to the heart of the matter more effectively and quickly than other talking therapies, and clients appreciate my empathy with, and understanding of, many different issues. It may help you to know that I’ve had my own personal struggles with infertility, anxiety and depression. I really listen to you, in a non-judgemental way, knowing that every client is an individual with individual needs. I don’t use generic scripts or treatments as some more traditional hypnotherapists do: I create a completely bespoke treatment plan for each client. As a Cognitive Hypnotherapist I am trained in the use of WordweavingTM which means I adapt my hypnotic suggestions to suit each client, and this means I can help you achieve the changes you are seeking in the shortest space of time which is comfortable for you. And because I also use NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) the possibilities for change are even greater.
I set up Caroline Adams Cognitive Hypnotherapy to help people like you find peace, fulfilment and happiness in their lives by resolving issues that are troubling them. I know that you have the qualities you need in order to achieve the kind of life you want and I can help you realise this for yourself.
As my slogan says “a better mind, a better life, a better you.”
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained with Trevor Silvester of the internationally-acclaimed Quest Institute. I am also a Member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I hold the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) – the first nationally accredited hypnotherapy qualification – and, because I believe you never stop learning, I regularly attend courses, workshops and seminars so that you can benefit from the latest techniques.
Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.
There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
info Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
Performance issues for actors, TV /radio presenters / newsreaders and musicians.
Charles Bonnet Syndrome.
Therapies offered
Fees
£175.00 - £195.00
Free initial telephone session
Additional information
Sessions costs £195 for the initial consultation (90 minutes), and then £175 for subsequent sessions (60 minutes). The price includes email support between sessions, and your own bespoke downloadable recording of hypnotic suggestion to reinforce the work we are doing if/when I feel it would be appropriate for you.
Cognitive hypnotherapy is a relatively brief therapy and you may only need a few sessions, but some clients find that they benefit so much from the therapy that they like to have a 'maintenance' session once a month, and some clients have issues which require support over a longer period of time, so I also offer two different packages of sessions - one of 5 sessions for £845 (a saving of £50) and one of 10 sessions for £1650 (a saving of £120)
