Hello, Welcome to Mindful Beginnings. I am Annie Thomas, Hypnotherapist and founder of Mindful Beginnings. I have been practising for 3 years after discovering hypnotherapy by accident while training to be a counsellor. I quickly saw how powerful it was for clients, and I knew it was a path I wanted to follow. Seeing the shift in people- and how they became calmer, more in control, and more themselves confirmed this was the right path to take.
My service....
I offer tailored, client-led hypnotherapy in a relaxed, non-judgmental space, where you can feel safe, supported and completely yourself. I offer support to teens, young adults, adults and individuals navigating neurodiversity, providing a space which is accessible.
Sessions can be online, face-to-face or a blend of both, making support accessible and flexible for everyone.
My approach is calm, down-to-earth and centred around what you need, helping you explore change at your own pace in a setting that feels comfortable rather than clinical.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have been a qualified hypnotherapist for over three years, building my practice on a strong foundation of professional training and lived experience.
I hold a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and a Certificate in Coping with Depression, Anxiety and Stress, giving me a strong foundation in understanding how these challenges affect daily life, plus personal experiences of managing depression and anxiety help me to support my clients.
Since practising hypnotherapy, I've worked with a wide range of clients to ease anxiety, lift low mood, overcome phobias and build confidence. This experience has helped to strengthen my ability to combine professional knowledge with genuine empathy, creating a safe, supportive space where change feels possible.
My qualifications are complemented by ongoing professional development, ensuring my practice remains current, evidence‑based, and responsive to the needs of the people I work with.
Member organisations
The National Hypnotherapy Society is a Learned Society whose primary purpose is the advancement of the knowledge of hypnotherapy and the fostering of professional hypnotherapy expertise through training, accreditation and continued professional development of their members. The Society seeks to contribute to public wellbeing both through the use of hypnotherapy and by ensuring that hypnotherapists are safe, competent and ethical in practice.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

My standard fee is £50 per face-to-face session or £45.00 for an online session.
I also offer concessionary discounts for students and clients aged 60 and above, making sessions more accessible to those who need them.
