I work full time as a hypnotherapist in Ilminster, Chard, Yeovil and online. Every week I help people make positive changes with these and other issues, changes they did not believe were possible. I work with children (aged 8 years and above), Young People and Adults of any age.

I love my job and I love helping people use their mind to feel better in themselves and better about life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy after training with CPHT in Plymouth with the acclaimed hypnotherapist and author Matthew Cahill. (cphtplymouth.co.uk).

I qualified in July 2020 and have so helped over 70 people to make some incredible changes in relation to:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Low confidence, low motivation
  • Insomnia and sleep problems
  • Tummy and bladder problems
  • Stop smoking
  • Weight loss

I am a registered member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists (afsfh.com) which means I have passed an accredited training programme and have proper insurance, regular supervision and engage in continuing professional development.

I also hold a Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) awarded by the National Council of Hypnotherapists. This required the submission of an extensive portfolio of work which is then assessed by 2 independent assessors. Completing this required 100s of hours of work and definitely broadened my knowledge and confidence.

I have a clean DBS check.

I am 53 years old and bring a fair amount of life experience, joy and wonder to the sessions. I enjoy working with people.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

I would also add, self-love and self-kindness to the above list.

Further information

Hi there,

Thank you taking a look at my profile.  I would like to share three guiding principles that are very important to me and in how I work.

1. You are not alone

We all go through difficult times in life and struggle with difficult emotions. I certainly have. If life feels tough, you are not alone. When you come for therapy, we will work together as equals, as people.

2. You are important and unique

I work from a belief that people matter a great deal, that they are important, fascinating, unique and bring things to this world that no one else does.  I see life as a miracle.

3. You are capable of positive change

I work from the basis that people (you, me, all of us) are very capable of positive change.  You might not realise it just now but you have an incredible mind, imagination, many skills and resources and somewhere, in your heart of hearts, you do know what you need and what you want to do.

I see my job as using solution focused hypnotherapy to help people find,  reconnect and rediscover the  wonder people they already are.

Why not get in touch and let's just have a conversation. Never any pressure.

Take good care.
