Whether anxiety has recently started impacting your sleep, or you've been struggling with insomnia for months, I can support you.
Anxiety and sleep difficulties can have a huge impact on your quality of life. You may feel anxious about lots of different things and struggle to truly switch off and relax. As soon as your head hits the pillow, all the worries and stresses of the day come flooding in. You lie awake worrying about how you'll cope tomorrow and experience lots of 'what if...?' thoughts. Maybe you've tried to overcome the issue yourself but nothing seems to be helping. You might be starting to withdraw from things that matter to you, such as socialising or exercise - either due to tiredness or the fear of how it will impact your sleep.
If any of the above resonates, I invite you to get in touch.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH), which is an evidence-based, collaborative type of hypnotherapy. I take an integrative approach, primarily using cognitive behavioural interventions, hypnotherapy and mindfulness. This means I can tailor therapy to each client, helping you to sleep better and feel calmer and more energised. My therapeutic approach is more goal-focussed than some talking therapies can be. A big focus of our work will be equipping you with the tools and skills to support yourself, so that you don’t have to be reliant on me long-term. You will leave therapy with a toolbox of resources to help you cope more effectively and live the life you want to live.
If you are interested in working together, I offer a free 15-minute chat so that you can ask any questions you may have and make sure that we are a good fit. All therapy sessions are online and you can find more information on my website. To book a free call or enquire about therapy, please fill out the contact form on my website.
I look forward to hearing from you,
"I found the sessions with Amy very helpful. The tools she shared with me helped me to see my patterns of catastrophising and how to work through these thought processes. Amy was very patient, kind and I felt I could be open with her & myself during our sessions. I am very grateful to have received these sessions during a very stressful time in my life." Training, qualifications & experience
I have a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (Dip. CBH) from the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. This is the main evidence based training in the UK and is approved by the British Psychological Society, indicating the high quality of training. This has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to draw on CBT, evidence-based hypnotherapy and mindfulness in my work.
I also have a First Class degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare (BSc (Hons)) from Oxford Brookes University.
- I have regular supervision and am constantly learning and expanding my knowledge, so that I provide my clients with the best support possible.
- Fully insured.
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
