Founded in 2002 by David Newton, CPHT Solution focused Hypnotherapy Training is the UK’s leading provider of Hypnotherapy training with 26 schools nationwide and over 350 students graduating from our schools every year. Our training is delivered by highly qualified and experienced practising hypnotherapists, and is accredited by the following bodies: CNHC, NCFE, NCH, AfSFH, UKCHO, GHSC/GHR.

What is solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a brain-based form of psychotherapy (talking therapy) that combines solution-focused questioning with trance relaxation and neuro-education. It allows clients to overcome issues and move forward setting a succession of small goals to attain. As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, you will learn how to teach your clients how their brains work so they can regain control of their thoughts, habits, reactions and behaviours.

Courses offered

We offer training for every level of hypnotherapist starting with the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) which includes the Level 4 Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD). You can continue your postgraduate training with the Level 5 Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma (AHD) and the Level 5 Solution Focused Supervision for Hypnotherapy Diploma (SFSHD).  CPHT also offers a full suite of 1 and 2-day courses and workshops for continued professional development (CPD).

Classroom-Based Learning

The training experience is face-to-face, classroom-based, practical and interactive, delivered by experienced and currently practising hypnotherapists. CPHT is committed to delivering gold-standard training; giving you the skills, experience, knowledge and confidence to be an effective and successful practitioner and to enjoy a successful career as a professional hypnotherapist, beginning at graduation.

We offer weekend and weekday training modules once a month over a period of 10 months. Between hypnotherapy training days you will be building up your experience with real hypnotherapy clients, at first without charge and towards the end of your hypnotherapy training, charging half price. Many of our students recoup a significant part of their course fees before they graduate. 

Alongside your practical study, you can complete a written portfolio, which counts towards your Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD). Only 20% of UK hypnotherapists have this award and it is the only national, industry-recognised, professional award.

Your training is deliberately practical, enjoyable, rigorous and in-depth; to prepare you for a successful and rewarding career in hypnotherapy. 

No experience or associated education is necessary because the training programme is designed to give you a thorough and sound knowledge of everything.
