Thinking about what is going wrong in our lives can be an uncomfortable exercise. It is all too easy to skim over the areas of our life we are not overly happy about, and yet it is often only by turning towards that which we find uncomfortable that we find the path to growth and fulfilment.
Being with someone who completely accepts you, who acknowledges that there are probably very good reasons for you doing the things you do not like, makes it possible to look at those areas that are not ideal. When that person is curious and interested in why your negative behaviours have developed, you are also freed from self-criticism and can take a neutral and curious attitude that will help you to see solutions that you had not seen before.
Using hypnotherapy within this therapeutic structure allows you to access and neutralise those old and unhelpful ways of reacting to problems, as well as identify more beneficial behaviours that are likely to bring about what it is that you really want.
During sessions with me I will listen very carefully to what you have to say and what you want to achieve. I use metaphor, visualisation and positive suggestion to help you to make lasting changes in the automatic part of your mind. My practice is based on the understanding that you already know deep down what you need to do. You will learn simple and effective techniques that change your habitual reactions to your life, making it easier to make those positive choices during and after your treatment.
What will Inner Joy Hypnotherapy help me to do?
• Make sense of your unique personality.
• Positively focus on what you really want.
• Live a more fulfilling and relaxed life.
• Increase your awareness of what you can achieve.
• Provide a safe space for you to explore and enhance your capabilities.
Accept yourself. Appreciate yourself. Take care of yourself.

How often do you find yourself thinking about everyone else first, neglecting your own needs and wants? Many who find themselves looking after everyone else in their life find it extremely difficult to look after themselves. While it is essential to function at your best in order to look after everyone else properly, there are many difficult feelings of guilt and low self-worth that mean that making yourself a priority is almost impossible. Inner Joy Hypnotherapy supports individuals and groups, including carers' groups and care staff, to feel good about making yourself a top priority. By renewing your sense of satisfaction and well-being in your life, you are better able to provide those around you with all they need and more.
Stress and Anxiety:
Are you simply exhausted by the continual pressure and worry? Many people struggling with stress feel there is no way out. Too often, sufferers simply do not realise just how much tension they are carrying around both physically and mentally, and they never get any respite. Working with me you will discover what it really means to relax. Using hypnotherapeutic techniques, you will learn how to switch off the fight-or-flight response, to calm those physical symptoms, and to emerge in a relaxed and alert state of happiness that you may not have experienced for years. This truly is a gift to yourself that you will benefit from for years to come.
Clinic open Tuesday 9:30am-3:30pm, Wednesday 12-6pm, and Thursday 9:30am-3:30pm. Daytime home visits available by negotiation.
