We all need a bit of extra support now and then.
Having someone who believes in and encourages you makes the difference between attempting to change and skilful living. ‘Inner Joy' comes from discovering that you are fully capable of making the changes you desire.
What will Inner Joy Hypnotherapy help me to do?
• Enable you to live a more fulfilling life.
• Honour your abilities and experiences.
• Believe in and encourage you to dare to live in a more satisfying way.
• Celebrate your successes and accomplishments.
• Support you to see beyond what is currently real, to what is possible for you.
• Create a safe space for you to explore and grow your capabilities.
Accept yourself. Appreciate yourself. Take care of yourself.
How often do you find yourself thinking about everyone else first, neglecting your own needs and wants? Many who find themselves looking after everyone else in their life find it extremely difficult to look after themselves. While it is essential to function at your best in order to look after everyone else properly, there are many difficult feelings of guilt and low self-worth that mean that making yourself a priority is almost impossible. Inner Joy Hypnotherapy supports individuals and groups, including carers' groups and care staff, to feel good about making yourself a top priority. By renewing your sense of satisfaction and well-being in your life, you are better able to provide those around you with all they need and more.
Stress and Anxiety:
Are you simply exhausted by the continual pressure and worry? Many people struggling with stress feel there is no way out. Too often, sufferers simply do not realise just how much tension they are carrying around both physically and mentally, and they never get any respite. Working with me you will discover what it really means to relax. Using hypnotherapeutic techniques, you will learn how to switch off the fight-or-flight response, to calm those physical symptoms, and to emerge in a relaxed and alert state of happiness that you may not have experienced for years. This truly is a gift to yourself that you will benefit from for years to come.

Training, qualifications & experience
My name is Emma and I am a qualified clinical hypnotherapist and professional member of The National Hypnotherapy Society and student member of The National Counselling Society. I offer individual and group hypnotherapy from clinics in Ledbury, Herefordshire and Bransford, Worcestershire. Corporate and group hypnotherapy takes place on-site or in community venues. For many years I worked in an adult college in London, teaching English Language, Literacy and Life Skills to refugees, asylum seekers and other disadvantaged adults. My aim was to equip people in difficult circumstances with the skills they needed to live an ordinary and fulfilling life. Following a significant trauma, I discovered the powerfully supportive nature of counselling and hypnotherapy. Being inspired with the benefits I experienced, I decided to retrain with Chrysalis Accredited Professional Therapy Training, accredited by both the Royal College of Nursing and The National Hypnotherapy Society. You can find my details on their website, just click on their logo above. I continue to have regular professional training in order to ensure my clients receive the highest quality service. I am also in my final year training as a psychotherapist, which enables me to offer professional support at a deeper level.

What is hypnosis like?
You will never forget the experience of hypnotherapy. Many people say it is very pleasant and relaxing. You may experience a drifting sensation, but you are aware of what is happening at all times. You are always in control of your experience, and are simply invited to follow along with the ideas that are suggested to you. All efforts are made to ensure your comfort and ease throughout the treatment. Since changes are made at a subconscious level, they feel very easy and automatic. They are often so natural, that you may not even notice your behaviour has changed for a few days!
Do I need to do anything in between treatment?
Your commitment to sustain desired change is very important too. Please be aware that when seeking treatment for such habitual behaviours as smoking, overeating or nail biting, hypnotherapy is not the waving of a magic wand. Following treatment you will have many opportunities to easily make the changes you want, however it is up to you to make the right choice at that moment! You always have the freedom to choose, and hypnotherapy does not take that away from you.
Clinic open Monday 9:30am-1pm, Wednesday 12-4:30pm, and Thursday 9:30am-3:30pm. Daytime home visits available by negotiation.
