Alex Parsons - DSFH
I'm a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist practising in Bristol.
This form of treatment is very powerful for alleviating stress, growing confidence and in helping you to access your buried abilities and potential. It’s an approach that effectively treats a wide range of issues and can be successful in a relatively short space of time.
Treatment will be professional and respectful, helping you to make changes in an environment that is relaxed and supportive.
I work with people by encouraging them to focus on how they want their lives to be now and into the future. Treatment does not involve analysing the past or examining problems; instead it helps you to visualise and achieve a more enjoyable and fulfilled future.
It is an up-to-date method of psychotherapy that is informed by the latest findings in neuroscience.
I have a background working in both the corporate world and as an artist in the music industry. I have a passion for writing and so have always been extremely interested in the creative process. As such I have always been active in following the latest research into the workings of the mind.
I have been practicing mindfulness, and other meditation techniques, for several years and I enjoy bringing these ideas and beneficial practices into the therapy room.
I have a young family and am very proud to say that my wife gave birth at home, twice, helped by hypnotherapy.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am fortunate to have been trained by David Newton of Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training, a recognised Centre of Excellence for Hypnotherapy which was awarded Gold Standard in 2006. It was here that I gained my Diploma in Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy (DSFH) in 2015.
I have been practicing Hypnotherapy since August 2014 and have had so much success in this time. I am also a trained mindfulness practitioner.
I have extended CRB check status to enable me to work with children and teenagers.
I continue to study and attend lectures in order to keep up-to-date of any advancements in the field.

We will plan your treatment together and can discuss any questions you have regarding Therapy and Hypnosis. I will also give you a complimentary CD or MP3 to listen to between our sessions.
