Supervision details
As a qualified Hypnotherapy Supervisor and the founder of The Northern College of Clinical Hypnotherapy (NCCH), I bring over 20 years of clinical experience to our supervisory relationship. My practice is built on a "Joyful Mind" philosophy, focusing not just on clinical safety, but on the flourishing and resilience of the therapist.
In our sessions, I utilise an integrative approach that draws from my background in Gestalt, NLP, and the biopsychosocial model. I primarily work within Proctor’s Three-Function Model, ensuring that our time together provides:
Restorative Support: A safe space to process the emotional impact of your work and prevent burnout.
Formative Growth: Leveraging my experience as a trainer to help you refine your skills and deepen your theoretical understanding.
Normative Accountability: Maintaining the highest ethical standards for your protection and that of your clients.
Having established my own successful private practice in 2004 and a training college in 2020, I am uniquely positioned to support you with the "business of therapy." I am passionate about helping practitioners move beyond a hobbyist mindset to build robust, professional identities and thriving practices.
Whether you are a student at the start of your journey or an experienced therapist seeking a peer-level reflective partner, I offer a collaborative, non-judgmental alliance tailored to your specific professional needs.
The British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) is a national professional body whose aim is to promote and assure high standards in the practice of hypnotherapy. There are various types of membership of BSCH, including associate members, full members, diplomats and fellows. Registration demands good quality training, ethical practice and adherence to a code of conduct.
