Supervision details
I offer Solution Focused Supervision which reassures, challenges, gives ideas and inspiration and recharges the supervisee’s energy, motivation and encourages creativity.
• It offers protection to clients (cases are reviewed)
• It offers reflective space to practitioners (allows insight for improvement)
• It helps practitioners identify their strengths and weaknesses
• It helps learning from peers
• It offers opportunity to keep up to date with professional developments.
Supervisees remain accountable for their work with clients and deciding what to bring to supervision.
1:1 supervision sessions and Group Supervision are available online via Zoom or in person. Additional Telephone support will be offered free of charge by prior arrangement for 1 month after you attend either 1:1 or Group Supervision. This is limited to an additional 15 minutes per month. Please note, if you have an urgent supervision question then you may contact me by text or phone (and leave a message if I’m not available) and I will aim to respond within 24hrs.

- 1:1 supervision session: £60 (up to 1 hour duration)
- Group Supervision: £50 (up to 3 hours duration)
Location
Supervision sessions will be conducted in Falkirk (by arrangement) for in person session, via Zoom or by telephone (1:1 only).
Code of Ethics and Confidentiality
Ethical considerations with confidentiality are assured during supervision from both the Supervisor and Supervisee, enabling the therapeutic relationship to build through trust, openness, learning and rapport. There may be circumstances where confidentiality may not be assured, requiring disclosure to other professionals, i.e. referring the client on where there is a limit in knowledge/experience, or where referral by a medical professional requires a report on progress. Legal requirements may require disclosure to a Supervisor/Legal Professional, e.g. where child abuse is revealed.
I engage in regular supervision for my supervision practice and so may discuss issues with my own Supervisor/in Supervisor Supervision. The purpose of this is to help me work effectively, develop my supervisory skills and be more useful to Supervisees. This is a professional relationship governed by confidentiality and Supervisees will not be named in these conversations; every effort will be made to maintain their confidentiality.
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
