John’s contributions extend beyond individual client work; he is deeply involved in training the next generation of hypnotherapists. As a Senior Lecturer for the prestigious Solution Focused Training Academy (SFTA) and a Lead Trainer with the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), John plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of hypnotherapy practice. His engaging teaching style and extensive experience make him a sought-after mentor for aspiring and experienced therapists alike.
John also provides professional supervision to up to 50 hypnotherapists across the UK and EIRE, helping them refine their skills and grow their practices with confidence. Before embarking on his career in hypnotherapy, John held a successful role as a Sales and Marketing Director. This business acumen has proven invaluable in his current endeavors, enabling him to run and develop thriving hypnotherapy practices while mentoring others in building sustainable businesses.

Supervision sessions are run Monthly online (Wednesday 6PM and Saturday 10:30AM) and every third Saturday 10:30AM face to face at the clinic in Halifax.

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
