Supervision details

  • Supervision for students, newly qualified and experienced Hypnotherapists
  • National Hypnotherapy Society Accredited Supervisor

I offer supervision for students, newly qualified and experienced hypnotherapists, both in person in Leeds and online via Zoom. As an Accredited Supervisor for the National Hypnotherapy Society, I work within the Society's supervision guidelines. I am also happy to provide supervision for therapists who belong to other professional organisations, although you may wish to check your organisation's individual supervision requirements.

In many ways, supervision is similar to therapy itself. Just as it is important for clients to find the right therapist for them, it is equally important for therapists to find a supervisor they feel comfortable working with. I believe the supervisory relationship should provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can reflect openly on your client work, continue developing professionally and feel supported within your practice.

Whether supervision takes place in person or online, my approach is relaxed and collaborative whilst remaining constructive and professionally focused. My aim is to help you feel at ease so that you can gain the maximum benefit from the supervision process.

Supervision can cover a wide range of areas, including:

  • Client case discussions
  • Developing therapeutic skills
  • Therapy techniques and approaches
  • Reflective practice
  • Confidentiality and ethical considerations
  • Continuing Professional Development
  • Practice development and marketing
  • Wellbeing, workload management and work/life balance
  • Issues that may be affecting your therapeutic practice

The amount of supervision required will vary depending on factors such as your level of experience, the number and type of clients you work with and the requirements of your professional organisation. If you are a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, registrant members in full time practice are required to have a minimum of 1.5 hours of supervision each month.

I keep an accurate record of supervision hours and provide a written summary following each session. I can also provide an annual written report for your professional organisation if required.

Supervision Fees
Qualified therapists: £60 per 60 minute session
Students: £30 per 60 minute session

If you would like more information or would like to arrange an informal chat about supervision, please feel free to get in touch.
