Scroll down and read the information.

At our December 2nd group support we have a presentation on
Working with Cancer Patients and their Carers from Roy Poller.

As part of my “pay it back” I volunteer as a therapist and a trustee at the
Cancer Support Centre based in Sutton Coldfield and have done since 2008.
Cancer is a subject that it seems people avoid talking about and I want to change that.
So, when John asked me to give a talk on what I do to help Cancer patients and their carers I said yes straightaway.
Working with patients and their carers is worthwhile and beneficial in so many ways. You may be wondering how I can help with Hypnotherapy as again it’s not talked about on many courses.
During our December event I will take you through how the centre operates and how I work within it utilising Hypnotherapy, Life coaching, EMDR, Tapping and Reiki.
Plus, I run Self-Help workshops and Reiki courses at the centre.
Explaining what it is I do and the benefits and talk through some case histories.
During our 2 hours I hope to open up our minds to working with and helping Cancer patients and carers.
Explain the techniques we can use and what the benefits can be.
To get therapists to realise they can help and get some tremendous “job satisfaction”
At the very least I hope to remove any stigma about talking about Cancer.
Reserve your place asap and I look forward to meeting you in December.
This 2 hour presentation is only available and FREE to those attending the afternoon support event. Group event fee is £46.00.
Schedule as follows;
10.00 -12.00 Roy presenting.
12.00 -13.00  Break for lunch.
13.00 – 16.00 Group support.

Our September event was a roaring success and the new format of
breaking into smaller groups was well received.
Thinking about supervision or support?
When you think of attending a supervision-peer support, what are your initial thoughts?
Are you going to attend because it is a requirement of your registration membership?
Let me give my take on one very important benefit.
You build a network of contacts with like-minded people willing to share.
People you can call for advice.
People you can meet for coffee and a chat.
We work in an insular environment usually only meeting clients and helping them resolve their issues.
Networking allows you to meet others in the same situation and let’s face it, it is good to talk.
Group support events help provide this.
Newly qualified hypnotherapists are required to attend four supervision sessions or peer support events annually during their first two years of practice.
Our supervision-peer support events are an excellent way to further build your confidence, skills and meet with fellow Hypnotherapists building a network of contacts.
My Supervision-peer support events align with the membership criteria of the General Hypnotherapy Register, the GHSc & with ACCPH accreditation.
Attendance confirmation and receipts are issued in Pdf format.
These Supervision-Peer support days are open to any qualified Hypnotherapists and student hypnotherapists.
In addition to sharing information and ideas, you can receive advice and support on all things Hypnotic!
Requests to present on a topic must be agreed and content approved with me prior to the event date.
The morning FREE content could be subject to change without notice.
E & O E.
In order to attend the FREE morning session you must book and pay for the Supervision-peer support event.
You have to book and pay to confirm your reservation.
Clicking attending on facebook is not a reservation.
Book on-line and choose BACS.

GHR
The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
