Supervision details
As a supervisor, I aim to help people improve their standards, learn and feel supported. I like to do this through a friendly but also evidence-based approach. I have supervised nurses, coaches, hypnotherapists and counsellors over many years. I am a Fellow of the National Hypnotherapy Society and an advanced and senior practitioner with the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHR). I am qualified as a counselling and hypnotherapy supervisor. I have trained as an EFT practitioner. I am one of only a few hypnotherapists to have gained an MSc in Hypnosis in Research, Medicine and Clinical Practice. I also have an MSc in Psychology and a MA in Interprofessional Health and Community Care. I am experienced, friendly and supportive.
For over 30 years, I was a registered nurse and educator, and now I have more than 15 years of experience in business as a therapist. I regularly teach hypnotherapy and counselling. As part of my business, I also provide low-cost CPD. I work full-time, so I am accessible most days. I can provide individual or small group supervision face-to-face in Bournemouth, online via Zoom or on the phone. Some evening appointments are possible.
I help new hypnotherapists and those people who are experienced and need inspiration and support.

Training with Linda is a fantastic way to deepen your knowledge, add new skills and gather some amazing advice on building a business and practising hypnotherapy. Linda is incredibly supportive and encouraging, which is so welcome when you are starting. She shares her vast knowledge and expertise in such a generous and kind way.
Nic Dove, I have always enjoyed the training delivered by Linda. She is very knowledgeable and delivers the training in easy, digestible sections to not feel overwhelmed.
Very approachable and easy to contact if required. I would not hesitate to recommend Linda. Terri Emmerson.

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
The National Hypnotherapy Society is a Learned Society whose primary purpose is the advancement of the knowledge of hypnotherapy and the fostering of professional hypnotherapy expertise through training, accreditation and continued professional development of their members. The Society seeks to contribute to public wellbeing both through the use of hypnotherapy and by ensuring that hypnotherapists are safe, competent and ethical in practice.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
