Hello, and welcome. I'm Tom, founder of Mindstar Hypnotherapy.
I help burnt-out professionals who can't switch off from work, even at weekends, even on holiday, to sleep better, stop overthinking, and feel like themselves again.
Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I spent 20 years in corporate IT as a senior network architect. Fast-paced, high-pressure, seven days a week. I burnt out completely. Lost passion for work and for everything outside it. I know exactly what it feels like to lie awake at 3am dreading Monday morning, to sit with your family at the weekend and still be mentally at your desk.
I found a way out using neuroscience and solution-focused hypnotherapy. Now I help other professionals do the same.
With solution-focused hypnotherapy we don't dig into the past or analyse your problems in detail. We focus on where you want to be and work directly with the subconscious patterns keeping you stuck. Most clients notice a meaningful shift within the first few weeks, better sleep, calmer evenings, and more presence with the people they love.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained with CPHT, one of the leading schools for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, and hold a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH).
My work is fully insured through Holistic Services, and I'm a registered member of the AfSFH, which means I follow the highest professional and ethical standards in the field.
Before becoming a hypnotherapist I spent 20 years in corporate IT as a senior network architect, working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. I experienced burnout firsthand which gives me a genuine understanding of the stress, pressure, and mental exhaustion that comes with a demanding professional career. This isn't something I read about in a textbook. I lived it.
I now specialise exclusively in working with burnt-out professionals who are exhausted, constantly overthinking, and unable to switch off from work, even when they're not working. My approach is solution-focused, science-backed, and practical. We don't analyse the past. We build the future.
Member organisations
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
