About me

I have always been fascinated by the way our brain and unconscious mind influence how we think, feel and behave, often without us even realising it. What I love most about hypnotherapy is helping people understand these patterns and discover that change is possible when they learn how their mind works.

For over three years, I have been helping clients overcome anxiety, stress, low confidence, sleep difficulties, phobias, habits and other challenges that may be preventing them from living the life they want. I work both online and in person, supporting people from all walks of life.

Alongside my hypnotherapy practice, I am also training to become a counsellor, which has given me a deeper understanding of human behaviour and the importance of feeling heard. I believe that every person has the answers within them; sometimes they simply need the right support, space and guidance to uncover them.

My approach combines Neuroscience, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). Rather than focusing on what is wrong, I help clients understand why they are feeling the way they do and how their brain responds to stress, anxiety and life's challenges. When people understand what is happening, things often begin to make sense and positive change becomes easier.

Clients often tell me they feel safe, comfortable and understood throughout their journey. One client shared: “I felt totally safe in Terrie’s kind care throughout the whole process… I learnt so much about myself and why I was feeling what I was feeling.”

I believe that while we cannot always control what happens to us in life, we can learn to change how we respond to it. Every challenge can teach us something about ourselves, and with the right support, difficult experiences can become opportunities for growth, resilience and positive change.

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a client regain their confidence, improve their wellbeing and begin looking towards the future with hope again, often from the very first consultation.

I am a registered member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH), the National Hypnotherapy Council (NHC) and Hypnotherapy Directory.

If you are considering hypnotherapy and feel nervous about taking that first step, please know that you are not alone. My aim is to help you feel safe, supported and empowered throughout your journey, helping you create meaningful and lasting change.
