About me
Daytime and evening appointments available.
Hello, I'm a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and accredited Trauma Therapist and I work with teenagers, young people and adults.
I qualified as a hypnotherapist in 2019 after developing a fear of heights following a zip wiring experience. My fear soon extended to other things, including driving over bridges, which is when I turned to hypnotherapy to help me conquer my fear.
Working across a range of conditions, I have a particular interest in helping people overcome anxiety and stress, childhood or adult traumas, and issues relating to low self-esteem and confidence. I also have extensive experience of working with complex and single phobias, including emetophobia, health anxiety, social anxiety and OCD.
I use a blend of skills in our sessions tailored to what you need, including Compassion-Focused Therapy, NLP, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, CBT-i (for sleep problems), and hypnosis.
Clients rate me for my warm and supportive approach. I am an empathetic therapist and am passionate about helping clients to make long-term change so that they finish sessions with a really practical toolkit of self-care, and a clear sense of how to move forwards. I welcome clients back for top-up sessions if they need further support along their journey.
I would be pleased to hear from you and aim to respond within a few hours of initial contact. I offer a free phone call to chat through what you would like support with. I look forward to hearing from you.

My own experience.
I first became interested in hypnotherapy 10 years ago after a zip wiring experience triggered a fear of heights that then triggered similar anxiety symptoms when driving a car over bridges or heights. Hypnotherapy helped me take control of my thoughts and, most importantly, keep me behind the wheel.
Hypnotherapy has taught me how our mind works and how that impacts on the way we behaves; and most importantly that we're not stuck with this, we can get control back over how we behave. It's also taught me the all important link between anxiety and sleep - how one can very much impact the other - and not to delay in getting help with your sleep if its affecting the way you feel.
Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
In-depth consultation with free relaxation download - £65.00
We will talk about what you are struggling with and set goals for what you hope to get from our sessions. I will talk to you about how our brain works which can be a lightbulb moment to understand how we feel the way we do and what we can do to change this. I'll send you a recording after the session to listen to as you go to sleep to aid relaxation and recovery.
Follow-up sessions - £65.00
We will work together using Solution Focused talking therapy, NLP techniques and hypnosis to help you imagine and focus on how you want to feel instead of how you feel right now. Refreshingly, I won't be focusing on your problems or asking you to analyse your past behaviours - these sessions are all about moving forwards and you will find the sessions can include laughter and smiles.
6 session package upfront - £360
My most popular and cost-effective package., designed to give you commitment for life-long change. You'll have the time you deserve and need to explore how you want to change and to practice the repetition and reinforcement needed to create new ways of thinking and behaving. Testimonials:
"Tamsin has helped our family in just 8 short weeks. A complete turnaround in how our teenager feels and how we support them".
"I had no real understanding of hypnotherapy prior to the sessions and I found the science behind how your mind works really interesting.Tamsin's reassuring manner instantly put me at ease and the sense of calmness and wellbeing after each session was immense - like a wonderful brain massage. I now feel I can achieve anything I want to and no longer worry about things that don't matter or aren't important."
"Tamsin helped me enormously to keep calm in times of great stress and to put things into perspective. I used the Relaxation Download every night to get to sleep and still use it now after I have finished the course."
"When I heard that Tamsin might be able to help with my sleep issues I was keen to give her sessions a go. Having tried many other remedies I was sceptical, but I have to say that working alongside Tamsin has genuinely improved my sleep.I have gained so much understanding about why I struggle with sleep. Tamsin has also given me lots of strategies to help going forward and I use these techniques on a daily basis. In addition, Tamsin's sessions have helped me to deal with other areas of stress. I cannot recommend her support highly enough."
"I have been a social smoker since I was a teenager. One session of hypnotherapy with Tamsin did the trick. She listened sensitively and we explored the reasons why I still smoked and gave me the understanding to say no to my habit."
