About me

Hello, I’m Sally and I’m a qualified hypnotherapist based in Maidstone in Kent.  I use hypnotherapy to help people release and let go of the things that are preventing them from living the life they want to live or from being the person they want to be – no matter how big or small those things may be.

Over the course of our sessions, I can help you understand how your mind works and why solely relying on your conscious mind to make the changes you want doesn’t always work.  I then tailor the pace and approach of hypnotherapy to meet your individual needs.  It usually takes 4-6 sessions to help with an issue, however every client is unique, and I will take the approach that will work best for you.

I specialise in the use of suggestion, visualisation and dynamic hypnotherapy including having a direct conversation with the subconscious mind - ask it what belief is behind the issue, where is comes from (if that’s relevant) and help you to make any changes you want to make.

Hypnotherapy can help most areas of life including: anxiety, stress, depression, confidence, emotional overwhelm, worry, panic attacks, low self-esteem and all anxiety related disorders, phobias, fears and habits, pain management and healing, hypno-birthing, sports, exams and work performance, smoking cessation and weight management.

I can provide online sessions to clients anywhere.  This is very popular as you can have hypnotherapy from the comfort of your own home - but to those local to Maidstone in Kent, I can also offer in-person sessions.

If you’re ready and motivated to make a positive change in your life then I would love to talk through how I can help you, so feel free to get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained and achieved my Hypnotherapist Diploma with Jo Howarth (Advanced Hypnotherapist) who owns and runs the Happiness Club and Happiness Club School of Hypnotherapy.  Jo was trained by the Atkinson-Ball College of Hypnotherapy and Hypno-Healing.  I am also a Happiness Club trainer which enables me to provide mindfulness based emotional and resilience training in schools and companies.

I am fully insured with Holistic Insurance Services, extended DBS checked and a registered practitioner with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHS) and Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

Member organisations

CNHC
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.

In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.

A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

GHR
The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Client Testimonials:

“What surprised me was how effective the hypnotherapy was. The support is provided in an open, friendly and trustworthy environment therefore I would highly recommend Sally as a hypnotherapist for support.”

“I messaged Sally a few weeks ago to help with my anxiety. I was that anxious I deleted the message 3 times as I was scared and anxious to reach out.  Sally messaged me I felt so at ease straight away and she said she could definitely help me.  I was sceptical I have had my anxiety around numerous issues for most of my life.  I have tried lots of things and it has never got any better. But I needed to try something completely different to what I had tried before.

I met Sally she was lovely so kind and listened to me regarding what I wanted to achieve out of my sessions.  Everything was explained to me fully along the way.  I have never had hypnosis before, so this was all new to me, but Sally made everything so clear and comfortable for me.  I was also given audios to listen to in between sessions, I will continue to use these also.

I had 4 sessions with Sally, I will skip forward to my life now.  I have managed to do things I never felt I would be able to.  I have been able to face my fears and those uptight I can’t breathe feelings have passed.  Things I would normally get in such a state about I have faced.  It’s not till I am doing it that I think who is this person?  But that non anxious confident person is now me thanks to Sally.  I couldn’t recommend Sally enough she is patient and empathetic I felt totally at ease with her.  This really has been life changing to me.”
