About me

In life, we all encounter challenges, and they come in many forms. Sometimes, they’re significant, bereavement, major life changes like career shifts, retirement, or separation. Other times, they might seem smaller to others, yet they feel just as overwhelming and important to the person going through them. I understand that any challenge affecting your ability to enjoy life or cope day-to-day can cause distressing symptoms for you or your family. No matter how big or small the problem seems, perceived or real, everyone deserves to feel better and to perform at their best. I’m here with a solution-focused, capacity-building approach to help you through.

Background & Experience

I have been working as an SF Hypnotherapist for 3 years. Prior to this, I have many years of experience as a Secondary School teacher. This has given me a deep understanding of the real-life challenges people face, whether that’s stress, anxiety, low confidence, or feeling overwhelmed. Working with both adults and young people has helped me understand how to bring out the best in individuals.

Building strong rapport, showing genuine care, and wanting to see people succeed are at the heart of how I work. I also believe that a sense of humour and the ability to put people at ease are incredibly important, helping sessions feel comfortable, relaxed, and somewhere you can look forward to coming to.

Through my teaching role, I have worked closely with individuals with additional needs, including ADHD and autism. This experience has been invaluable in my one-to-one therapy work. I am confident and comfortable supporting clients with additional needs, ensuring they feel at ease, and I tailor each session to meet the individual needs of the client.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained and qualified with CPHT as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and hold the Gold Standard qualification, which includes the Diploma in Hypnotherapy (DHP) and the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD).

I am also a Lecturer with the Solution Focused Training Academy, where I have taught and supported Solution Focused trainees in achieving their Solution Focused Hypnotherapy qualifications.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attend supervision and CPD training to continually enhance my skills and knowledge as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist (SFH).
