About me

Hypnosis is a natural state of being. Try to recall how you feel when you are in between waking and sleeping - that's very similar to the trance state. As is daydreaming and when you are engrossed in some activity which precludes any interference from outside influences. The trance state allows us to access the unconscious and make suggestions which can help us to change our thought patterns and habitual reactions. On a long motorway journey which requires you only to use your driving skills you will often find that ideas and solutions to problems will emerge in your mind. This is often because your driving skills have become habitual and your mind is free to roam.

Hypnosis has a long history and has been used in conjunction with other therapies for many years. Your unconscious mind will always protect you and it is not possible for a therapist to get you to do something you do not want to do or which would go against your own moral code. It is a gentle therapy which nevertheless can be very effective and impact positively on your life. This is particularly true for weight management, symptoms of diagnosed Irritable Bowel Syndrome and difficulties with different types of addictions.

I can help you to make those changes and walk beside you as you incorporate them into your life. I offer a fully integrative approach to clients which recognizes and celebrates their individual needs and unique approach to life.
