About me

Hello my name is Luanne and I am a qualified Hypnotherapy Practitioner with Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Life Coaching skills and I’m registered with the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. The majority of my work is in Woman's Health and Well-being with both adult women and younger teenage girls. I can also work with men at request for certain issues.

I have also worked for the NHS as an Operating Department Practitioner in Anaesthetics for 24 yrs and also have a BSc Hons Degree in Health Studies. I‘m registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

I specialise in helping women struggling with Stress, Anxiety, Nervous System Dysregulation, Emotional Overwhelm and Burnout. I provide Health and Mindset Coaching with Restorative Hypnotherapy.

Health and Wellbeing Coaching can help women to better understand how the body reacts to chronic stress and anxiety. It helps you to build increased self awareness of negative thought patterns and unconscious fears that so often create and sustain a dysregulated nervous system state and subsequent health issues.

In therapy, clients are taught self regulation techniques to calm anxiety, build resilience and increase their window of tolerance to stress. We investigate negative emotions and learn limbic retraining exercises to help reduce unconsciously learned fear responses that become stuck on loop within the body. We also cover negative thinking and the inner critic by examining thoughts, reframing unhelpful, limiting beliefs and improving and developing a previously fixed mindset.

The above work can be very powerful to help overcome both mental and physical symptoms associated with fear, anxiety and stress.  Health issues I work with include muscle tension, high blood pressure, joint pain, gut issues such as IBS, nausea, peri/menopause, tension headaches, chronic pain, sleep issues, Infertility. I also provide support with difficult emotions, confidence and self esteem issues, unwanted behaviours and numerous types of fears and phobias.

I have worked with many high functioning neurodivergent persons who find real benefits in learning techniques that can regulate emotions, calm the nervous system, improve social anxiety, slow an overly busy mind and increase confidence and self esteem. I also help people navigate life transitions, such as changing careers, getting back to work, retirement, chronic health conditions like Parkinsons or cancer, disabilities, relationship breakdown.

Sessions generally last 90 minutes. I provide educational handouts, info/video graphics, tools and techniques during the coaching part of each session which is followed by bespoke therapeutic hypnotherapy, or NLP techniques, tailored to your specific needs. Clients are also given a hypnosis audio to continue listening to and further increase the benefits between sessions.

Common fears and phobias have been; emetophobia, exam nerves, fear of public speaking, fear of flying, social anxiety, fear of heights, sport performance anxiety, driving anxiety and also medical related phobias, such as needle phobia, fear of hospitals, blood, fear of scans, fear of having surgery and general anaesthesia. I have also worked with unwanted habits like pulling hair,  (Trichotilomania), Nervous Twitches/Tics, skin picking.

I provide in person sessions at my clinic in Truro Cornwall or online (UK and abroad) via video call. Hypnotherapy can work just as well online as in person. You only need to find a comfy place (where you won’t be disturbed), where you can rest back with some headphones on, with your camera and screen facing you. The coaching phase is done whilst chatting one to one over the video call.

Please take a look at my website for prices, treatment details and current offers and follow my Facebook page for inspiration and updates. You can always contact me via the directory, to book an initial consultation session to discuss your current issue or book on my website.
Many Thanks Luanne

Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
