About me
Hello, I'm Louise - a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist specialising in knackered women who are secretly struggling with anxiety.
You're probably brilliant at holding it all together - the work, the family, the endless mental load. But underneath, anxiety may be quietly running the show: racing thoughts, 3am wake-ups, a churning stomach, a low-level dread that never switches off.
Anxiety wears many disguises - chronic stress, burnout, IBS, fears and phobias, negative thinking, low mood, low self-esteem, and I work with them all.
I don't believe you're broken or need fixing, because underneath the exhaustion, the calm, capable, funny you is still in there. I call this your true nature, and I help you find your way back to her - sometimes face-to-face in a local clinic or in my camper van Bertha parked up in woodland, but mostly online from wherever you are.
Using clinical hypnosis, nature-based practices and other gentle, proven techniques, I help your mind let go of the anxious patterns it's been rehearsing, without you having to re-live the worst bits of your past.
If this sounds like you, book a free 30-minute chat where we can talk about what's going on, what you'd love to be different, and whether we're a good fit.

As well as being a hypnotherapist, I’m also a mum, a wife, sister and a friend. I enjoy the simple things in life so love spending time with my family and friends, walking in and connecting to nature, pottering around my garden, weekends away in my camper van Bertha (the more remote the better) and cuddles with my mini wire-haired Dachshund, Flo.
A friend once told me we often end up teaching what we need to learn, so with my own experience of mental health challenges behind me, it’s no surprise I now specialise in helping people recover from anxiety. My lived experience has taught me so much both personally and professionally, along with my accredited and highly regarded hypnotherapy training and playful personality, I bring compassion (dare I say fun ?) and a wealth of knowledge to help others reclaim their lives.
Member organisations
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

info Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
I also offer the Integral Eye Movement Technique (IEMT) and am an accredited practitioner.

Additional information
Before booking any session with me, I offer a free 30 minute informal chat so we can discuss what you're struggling with, what your goals are and how I can help.
My one-to-one Anxiety Recovery Programme costs £697 for 6 - 7 x 2-hour sessions.
I also offer Hypnotic Cord Cutting sessions which cost £197 for a single 90 minute session. Hypnotic Cord Cutting is a structured hypnotherapy technique for releasing attachments that keep you stuck - perhaps to a person, a past version of yourself, an old role, or a pattern you've outgrown.
Working at the unconscious level, it addresses what willpower and logic alone can't shift. Clients typically describe feeling lighter, clearer, and able to move forward more easily.
I also offer discounted sessions to those in need, so please don't let difficult financial circumstances stop you from getting in touch.

Testimonials
BB - Hypnotic Cord Cutting Client: "I was quite anxious going in […] Louise was brilliant at helping me feel calm and ready. During the session I felt totally relaxed and confident. It brought me many colours as we tapped into my subconscious mind. Quite beautiful. […] Quite remarkably, it doesn’t have the same power over me any more. I don’t feel the deep anger, sadness, wrong doing. I just feel like I’ve let it go and it’s lost its bad energy. I can now say with complete confidence that this session worked for me."
JK - Anxiety/Past Trauma Client: "Thank you for such a wonderful life-changing time. I feel as though I’m looking at life through a different lens. It’s incredible!"
ACM - Anxiety/Past Trauma Client: “It was such a pleasure working with Louise. She is so gentle and really takes the time to listen to what's going on, and then relates the therapy back to those specific challenges. For me, I was looking for help with managing my emotional response to memories of past trauma. It felt like a huge step to open up about my experiences and emotions, but she was incredibly reassuring and eased me into the therapy [...] In just a few sessions, Louise helped me to not just halt the emotional 'throwback' but I also got the chance to start rediscovering my identity and how I feel about myself. It was absolutely fascinating. I am very grateful to Louise for offering me the tools to help me move forward. Today I am much better equipped to handle memories of the past and the emotions that are associated with them.”
CF - Anxiety/Health Issue client: "Thanks you for all your help. I have not long returned from our family holiday in XXX, and I knew you would like to know that I had an amazing time, with absolutely no medical issues, the first time ever that I can remember!!
IP - Anxiety/Low Mood client: "Louise is just amazing, she is so kind and caring and really listened to everything I had to say. We covered so much during my sessions but nothing felt rushed and everything was done at my pace. She has helped me so much and given me life long tools to use whenever I need them. I always felt so relaxed in the sessions and had lots of laughs. It was especially special to be able to have some sessions outside in nature and in lovely Bertha. Thank you Louise, you have changed my life."
SM - Anxiety/Low Mood client: “Louise offers a range of practical tools to help understand and manage anxiety and low mood, and to help cultivate positive thinking and a solution based approach. Her relaxation and hypnotherapy techniques are skillful. I am deeply grateful for the sessions we had together."
LMB - Low Mood Client: “When I first met Louise, I was in not in a good place at all and was suffering with a depressive disorder. Louise has been my shining light and helped guide and direct me to living a calmer and happier life. I've developed a completely new outlook and it's really opened my eyes and made me appreciate everything so much more. I feel much less stressed and anxious in my day to day life, as well as looking into the future. Thank you so much Louise, I cannot thank you enough.”
HP - Phobia Client: “Had another fantastic Hypnotherapy session today with Louise for my phobia of spiders and I’m feeling so confident and calm at the thought of dealing with them. To think that I managed (for the first time ever) to have the confidence to put a glass over a spider after just 2 sessions is amazing. Not only that, but I’m also finding myself being calm and content enough no not seek them out every time I enter a room.”
AT - Stress Client: “I started the journey with Louise with a few issues I wanted to work on and the more time I spent with her, the better I felt. Louise has a lovely, soothing, calm voice and a genuine interest in helping others. I finished the therapy in a far stronger place than when I started it, ready to face any challenges. I now understand that I can feel positive and hopeful, even with the difficulties life continuously throws me. It was a very insightful, peaceful and helpful process, thank you.”
