About me

How would you feel if you could let go of your past, not worry about the future and enjoy the present?

Unresolved trauma and unprocessed emotions show themselves in many ways. You may be struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, flashbacks, overwhelm, negative thinking, low mood, low self esteem, lack of self confidence, IBS, OCD, fears and phobias, negative habits. ... or a whole host of other symptoms. And if you're one of the many people living with any of these conditions, I want you to know there is hope.

Firstly you're not broken and you don't need fixing! Everything I list above (and more) is a human response to human experiences and totally understandable.

We’re all individuals so there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach but as a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Transformational Coach, I use a host of cutting edge and evidence-based tools and gentle techniques to support and guide you through the process.

Trauma is a subconscious injury and therefore it requires a subconscious intervention to process it and eventually heal it. Together we work to remove those unresolved emotions, traumas and the negativity of the past and replace them with healthier and more beneficial thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you feel calmer in the present and can focus on creating a life you love.

All of my services are available either face to face or online (via Zoom) – both being as safe and effective as each other.

During the warmer months, my amazing camper van Bertha can provide a tranquil setting for face to face sessions should you want to experience a unique therapy setting, surrounded by nature. Otherwise I work out of therapy offices in the local area. Both are perfect if you want to carve out time away from your day to day life … but the ‘Bertha Experience’ really takes you away from it all, helps you to connect to your authentic self and utilises the healing power of nature.

Online therapy allows you to access the help you need from the comfort of your own home, wherever you are in the world.

You're only a phone call away from transforming your life.

P.S. Regardless of the cause - one of the most common exacerbators of anxiety is stress. In fact, statistics from a 2019 survey found that 74% of adults in the UK have been so stressed they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope (Mental Health Foundation 2019). Add a global pandemic and a close of living crisis into the mix and I wonder what those statistics must look now?

P.P.S A wise friend once told me that we often end up teaching what we need to learn, so with years of my own challenging mental health behind me including plenty of stress and anxiety, it’s no surprise I now specialise in helping people heal their anxiety and trauma and get back in the driving seat of their own lives!

Further information

JK – Anxiety/Past Trauma Client: "Thank you for such a wonderful life-changing time. I feel as though I’m looking at life through a different lens. It’s incredible!"

ACM – Anxiety/Past Trauma Client: “It was such a pleasure working with Louise. She is so gentle and really takes the time to listen to what's going on, and then relates the therapy back to those specific challenges. For me, I was looking for help with managing my emotional response to memories of past trauma. It felt like a huge step to open up about my experiences and emotions, but she was incredibly reassuring and eased me into the therapy [...] In just a few sessions, Louise helped me to not just halt the emotional 'throwback' but I also got the chance to start rediscovering my identity and how I feel about myself. It was absolutely fascinating. I am very grateful to Louise for offering me the tools to help me move forward. Today I am much better equipped to handle memories of the past and the emotions that are associated with them.”

IP - Anxiety/Low Mood client: "Louise is just amazing, she is so kind and caring and really listened to everything I had to say. We covered so much during my sessions but nothing felt rushed and everything was done at my pace. She has helped me so much and given me life long tools to use whenever I need them. I always felt so relaxed in the sessions and had lots of laughs. It was especially special to be able to have some sessions outside in nature and in lovely Bertha. Thank you Louise, you have changed my life."

SM - Anxiety/Low Mood client: “Louise offers a range of practical tools to help understand and manage anxiety and low mood, and to help cultivate positive thinking and a solution based approach. Her relaxation and hypnotherapy techniques are  skillful. I am deeply grateful for the sessions we had together."

LMB - Low Mood Client: “When I first met Louise, I was in not in a good place at all and was suffering with a depressive disorder. Louise has been my shining light and helped guide and direct me to living a calmer and happier life. I've developed a completely new outlook and it's really opened my eyes and made me appreciate everything so much more. I feel much less stressed and anxious in my day to day life, as well as looking into the future. Thank you so much Louise, I cannot thank you enough.”

HP - Phobia Client: “Had another fantastic Hypnotherapy session today with Louise for my phobia of spiders and I’m feeling so confident and calm at the thought of dealing with them. To think that I managed (for the first time ever) to have the confidence to put a glass over a spider after just 2 sessions is amazing. Not only that, but I’m also finding myself being calm and content enough no not seek them out every time I enter a room.”

AT – Stress Client:I started the journey with Louise with a few issues I wanted to work on and the more time I spent with her, the better I felt. Louise has a lovely, soothing, calm voice and a genuine interest in helping others. I finished the therapy in a far stronger place than when I started it, ready to face any challenges. I now understand that I can feel positive and hopeful, even with the difficulties life continuously throws me. It was a very insightful, peaceful and helpful process, thank you.”
