About me
Welcome to Calivoa Hypnotherapy and Coaching. I am Leasa, a qualified clinical hypnotherapist based near Edinburgh, working with clients in person and online throughout the UK and beyond.
I work with people who are ready to make a change. Whether that is overcoming anxiety, losing weight, dealing with a phobia, or achieving a personal, sporting or professional goal, every session takes place in a warm, welcoming and completely confidential space. I work with adults and young people from the age of 13.
Alongside clinical hypnotherapy, I also use NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), drawing on whichever approach or combination feels right for you and your goals.
I have a particular interest in GLP-1 medication support, working with people who are coming off Wegovy, Ozempic or Mounjaro, and those looking for a natural alternative to weight loss medication. As a certified GLP-1 Support Practitioner, I offer a structured four-session programme specifically designed to address the psychological and behavioural side of weight management.
Being part of a sporty family myself, I have a genuine passion for the mental side of sport and performance. I work with people at every level, from those taking on their first challenge to those competing at the highest levels, helping them build focus, resilience and that extra mental edge.
I also bring nearly 16 years of experience working within adoption services. This gives me a deep understanding of the complex emotional landscape that adoptees and their families experience at different stages of their life.
With nearly two decades of experience working with people through some of life’s most challenging moments, I understand how hard change can be and how transformative it is when you find the right support.

Member organisations
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
