About me

Real change doesn't come from simply talking about problems - it comes from understanding what is keeping you stuck and gently creating new ways forward.

I believe every person already has the capacity for change. Sometimes, however, life experiences, stress, anxiety, trauma, or deeply ingrained patterns can make it difficult to access that potential. My role is to help you understand those patterns, free yourself from what no longer serves you, and move forward with greater confidence, clarity and emotional freedom.

I work with people from all walks of life, including professionals, business owners and leaders navigating demanding careers alongside the challenges that life inevitably brings. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, low confidence, burnout, unwanted habits, fears, or the lasting impact of difficult life experiences, therapy is always tailored to you. There is no 'one-size-fits-all' approach because no two people experience the same challenge in exactly the same way.

Before becoming a Cognitive Hypnotherapist, I enjoyed a successful international career in business consulting and senior leadership. Working with organisations and leaders across a range of industries gave me first-hand insight into the pressures of high-performance environments, the hidden cost of chronic stress, and the complexity of balancing professional success with personal wellbeing. Today, I bring that understanding together with evidence-informed therapeutic approaches to help clients create meaningful, lasting change in both their personal and professional lives.

My primary approach is Cognitive Hypnotherapy, a modern, evidence-informed therapy that combines advances in psychology, neuroscience and hypnosis. Rather than focusing on labels or asking "What's wrong with you?", Cognitive Hypnotherapy asks, "What’s that about?" By understanding the unique way your mind has learned to respond, we can work together to develop healthier, more resourceful patterns that create lasting change. Every session is designed specifically around your needs, goals, and strengths.

I also offer Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT), an effective, gentle approach that helps people reduce the emotional impact of distressing memories and unwanted emotional responses. Using carefully guided eye movements, IEMT helps the brain update the way emotional experiences are stored, often allowing clients to let go of feelings such as anxiety, guilt, anger, shame or overwhelm without needing to repeatedly revisit painful memories in detail.

I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, compassionate, and empowering. My aim is not simply to help you manage symptoms, but to help you understand yourself differently, reconnect with your own strengths, and create sustainable, positive change that continues long after our work together has ended.

Seeking support is an investment in yourself and your future. If you're ready to move beyond surviving and begin living with greater confidence, resilience and fulfilment, I'd be honoured to accompany you on that journey.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold both Practitioner and Master Practitioner qualifications in Cognitive Hypnotherapy, attained through the internationally renowned Quest Institute, where I trained under Trevor Silvester, who developed the approach and founded the Quest Institute. Through my studies there, I also gained a Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and hold the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma approved by the NCFE.

From there, I went on to train as a Practitioner of Integral Eye Movement Therapy, adding to this to my suite of therapeutic approaches. I have also completed courses on Trauma and the Brain, ARFID, Addiction, Life Coaching, and I am a qualified Sleep Performance Coach.

I have a keen interest in neurodivergence and have extensive experience in working with neurodivergent clients both therapeutically and as a coach.

My fascination with the human mind began long before I trained as a therapist, and I first achieved a BSc in Psychology from the University of Reading. Several years later, I returned to study and obtained a PhD in Organisational Psychology, which explored Quality of Working Life from the University of Bath. I also delivered lectures at the University of Bath while I studied there.
