About me
About me
I work with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed or held back by anxiety, stress, low confidence, unwanted habits or the challenges that life can bring.
Sometimes people come to hypnotherapy because they have tried other approaches but still feel as though they are going round in circles. Others simply know that something needs to change, but aren't quite sure how to make that change happen.
This is where I can help.
My approach is practical, positive and focused on helping you understand what is happening in your brain, rather than making you feel that there is something wrong with you.
What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?
One of the things I particularly value about Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is that it looks towards the future. We spend less time dwelling on everything that has gone wrong and more time exploring what you want instead, what is already working and how you can build on it.
I draw on Solution Focused techniques, neuroscience and hypnosis to help you develop a better understanding of your thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and to give you practical tools that you can continue using outside our sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
My route into hypnotherapy came from my own interest in how the brain responds to pressure, change and uncertainty.
Before becoming a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I worked in a fast-paced media environment where deadlines, expectations and the pressure to perform were part of everyday life. It gave me a real understanding of how easy it is to become caught up in stress, overthinking and the constant feeling that you should be doing more.
When I began studying the neuroscience behind Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, I found that understanding the brain helped make sense of many of the patterns I had experienced myself. It also showed me that we are not simply stuck with the way we think or respond. Our brains are capable of change.
That understanding is central to the way I work today.
I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you can feel listened to without feeling judged. I won't tell you how you should think or what you should do. Instead, I'll help you understand your own patterns, recognise your strengths and develop strategies that work for you.
Whether you are dealing with anxiety, stress, low confidence, an unwanted habit or simply feel that you have lost your sense of direction, our sessions are focused on helping you make meaningful changes and feel more able to cope with whatever life brings.
