About me
Hello, I’m Hannah the founder of Find Calm Hypnotherapy and a qualified Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. I am based in West Bridgford, Nottingham and work with clients locally or online.
My work is centred around helping women reconnect with their inner calm and move forward with greater confidence, clarity and resilience. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it’s easy to get stuck in patterns of overthinking, worry or self-doubt. My role is to help clients step out of those patterns and begin focusing on what is possible instead.
I was drawn to Solution Focused Hypnotherapy because it offers a practical, positive and forward-looking approach to change. Rather than analysing the past, we focus on your strengths, your resources and the future you want to move towards. This approach combines modern neuroscience, psychotherapy and the deeply relaxing state of hypnosis to help the mind become calmer and more receptive to positive change.
Clients often tell me that sessions feel like a safe space to pause, reflect and reset. Hypnosis itself is a natural and deeply relaxing state that allows the mind to quieten, helping new, more helpful patterns of thinking to develop over time.
I have a particular interest in supporting women who are looking to regain a sense of balance and control in their lives. My aim is always to create a warm, supportive and non-judgemental environment where clients feel comfortable and understood.
Whether someone is feeling stuck, overwhelmed or simply ready for a positive change, I believe everyone has the capacity to move forward with the right support.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist (DSFH, HPD), having trained with Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training, widely regarded as the gold standard in hypnotherapy training. I am registered with the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), fully insured, and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
I am committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring my knowledge and skills remain up to date so I can provide the highest standard of care to my clients. I adhere to strict professional standards, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality, respect, and client wellbeing at all times.
Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I worked as a primary school teacher. During this time, I developed a deep interest in how people learn, think, and behave, as well as a genuine passion for helping others grow in confidence and reach their full potential.
My interest in hypnotherapy became more personal following the birth of my second child, when hypnobirthing had a profoundly positive impact on my experience. This inspired me to explore the field further and ultimately led me to train professionally so I could support others in a similar way.
When I discovered Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, I was immediately struck by its empowering and forward-looking approach. It focuses on helping individuals harness their own inner strengths and cognitive resources, enabling them to create meaningful, positive changes in their lives.
