About me
I'm Gareth Amos, a fully qualified Hypnotherapist in Poynton (Tue, Wed, Fri) and Sale (Mon, Thu) (Stockport, Manchester, Wilmslow, Bramhall and surrounding areas including online), helping people create meaningful and lasting change through a compassionate, personalised approach.
I've supported clients with anxiety, stress, confidence issues, unwanted habits, fears, and emotional challenges, helping them reconnect with their own inner resources and move forward with greater calm, clarity, and self-belief.
My approach combines evidence-based hypnotherapy with a deep understanding of how the mind and body work together. By working with the subconscious mind, we can identify and update patterns that may no longer be serving you, creating space for new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding.
Rather than simply managing symptoms, I work collaboratively with you to understand what lies beneath them, helping you address the root cause and create positive change that feels natural, sustainable, and empowering.
Whether you're looking to overcome a specific challenge or simply feel more like yourself again, hypnotherapy can provide a safe and effective path forward.

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Investment in Your Wellbeing
Choosing hypnotherapy is an investment in yourself and the changes you want to make. Every session is tailored to your individual needs, providing a safe, supportive space to help you move towards your goals with greater confidence, calm, and clarity.
Sessions are charged at £80 (£65 for Under 18's) and last up to 50 minutes, whether attended in person or online. For those looking for ongoing support, a discounted five-session package is available at £325.
Many clients begin to notice positive changes within a few sessions, although the number of sessions required will vary depending on your goals and circumstances. During your initial consultation, we can discuss what support is likely to be most beneficial for you.
A free discovery call is available if you would like to ask questions and explore whether hypnotherapy feels like the right next step.
